Yoshizen's Blog

Cold blow / Wistle blow ?

Its getting pretty cold.  I saw beautifully frosted  decorated leaves.

It said to be the coldest in 17 years, and some says the ill effect of the climate shift caused by  El Nino

or La Nana kind —–. (To know the detail, go to Wikipedia please  🙂  )

On my previous post I wrote  “To know the Truth wouldn’t change our life” ——- then, the conflicting

question arose.

In the Hinayana Buddhist’s view,  an attitude “When its cold, just feel the chill and shiver with

other people who is suffering” —— this is correct.

Or, stand up and shout, telling the people  “What is causing the climate change, and the cause

of appearance of El Nino, in order to save the suffering of the people”——- this is correct too, save

the possibility he might be barking wrong tree.

So, one sect might go out and walking in a chilling wind. ( Don’t catch cold or even worse, pneumonia )

And another sect may go to a demonstration banging their symbolic flat drams on the front line.  (Though,

I haven’t seen them these days —— are they still alive ?    Do you know ? )

It’s better know the fact, better still the Truth. —– the one might be placed there to know and shout as

he (she) might be born for its purpose. —– though it may not be a license to become arrogant or snobbish.

——– And my answer ?

I would stick with Buddha’s teachings “Don’t torture yourself. Don’t go extreme” therefore

sitting next to a heater. (How convenient  🙂 )

——- Environment or external occurrence may give you a jolt to your unprepared mind

as it has been in the blank state.   Its jolt may give you a sudden enlightenment, though,

if it was expected or a prolonged same condition, mind couldn’t be fresh and naked

—— nothing would happen  /  it’s a same cold day)

Better make a hot tea with honey and lemon  😀  ( The truth is in the cup.  Honest, I can taste it.)

___/\___

——

PS :  It seems the world was so disturbed by the exposure of the confidential US diplomatic correspondences

by Wikileak. —— how silly.

Every body knows, politics, diplomacy, economics, even so-called big charities are dirty business and

having dirty linen and utter hypocrisy,  tons of it,  exactly same to everybody’s private life.  Yet still

we pretend to be clean face and  talking with others with sweet words.

Sneaking behind, and suddenly pull-down somebody else’s trouser and to expose dirty pants,  then

shouting  “Have look this is the truth” —–So, what ?   It wouldn’t help anybody.  History will tell.

It just filling the arrogant dirty satisfaction of  Wikileak’s  founder.  Much worse than a scavenger.

Because, if it was a whistle blow,  what the blower want to resolve or change and to which direction.

There is non. Could he expect the politics can change ? ( In any system or ideology —– because the

environment and the contents / human is the same —– no utopia nor ideal man exists)

It would only push the politics even more murkier business, deleting all the traces at once.  That all.

Since, clean man (and woman) wouldn’t become politician.

Since, ambition to the power and to become famous is the synonym of self-centered arrogance and the

manipulation of the others by deception as an effective means. ——- Hence it can not be clean by nature.

Still, we could have wiser life, accommodating and concealing smelly guts inside.  😀

(You are well aware this hidden truth  😀  )

The Truth of the life was clearly elucidated by Buddha as the Four Noble Truth —— and

its Fourth is the direction How to live DESPITE of Those TRUTH / Reality.

Exposing smelly guts wouldn’t help anything.  The MATTER is how to live with it.

This is the Buddhism.

Enlightenment makes on rebellious out of compassion,
believe systems makes on to sheep out of narcissism.

    • yoshizen said, on November 30, 2010 at 13:39

Compassion (one of the emotion) toward the Self is the core of the narcissism.
Thats why the one needs to observe the Self, deep into. (and to find what is its
mechanisms are) ——- this is why Buddhism was often perceived not a religion, but
I say (so that I might be seen as a rebel in the Buddhism history 🙂 ), Mind-Engineering.
It is a science, how to operate one’s mind.
And one of the technique which Buddha found is, to separate one’s mind from
the Emotion. Absolute objective view = view without the self.
And this is what the Enlightenment means.

To become rebellious is a first step for a young boy to learn the external world and to test his own theory.
To find whether his theory is a Delusion or somebody else’s Buzz-word, or his own wisdom —— needs
him to have good look into his own mind, deep down. This is what the self awareness mean.
So, the question is, Do you aware Who you are ?

  2. antiphonsgarden said, on December 1, 2010 at 11:55

And if all this emotion avoiding “Buddhism” was not just entertaining escapism of a certain class who does not truly want to engage with heart into changes.

Sorry, but you might mean sentimental charity is narcissism.

Compassion was, is, will always be our neurological natural survival optimum as specie.
Those sucking out it a franchise through a neoplatonist moralin division of love and imposing a hierarchical “achievement” trip above the direct experience is just another abusive clergy more assuring the own bureaucratic perpetuation.”Spiritual” holier than thou egotism is truly insecure vanity.

I trust the senses making sense and the human potential first, before an absurdly linear” buddhist” chic group belonging disdainful nihilism.

My enlightenment experience does not confirm any spiritual circus.
It confirms the decency of the human heart.

  3. yoshizen said, on December 1, 2010 at 13:57

There is no nihilism in the Hinayana belief. Thats why it called Hinayana.
If so-called Compassion was a “neurological natural survival optimum as specie”
there couldn’t be any war between tribes, nations, races and species —— but
we human has been doing it in mass scale and causing mass extinction now.
So-called “Compassion” = Yes, provided you belong to us = nothing but the
self-loving egoism = self centered narcissism = survival of Self.
——- By the way I don’t belong to any Buddhist’s group / hierarchy, hence DIY Zen.
Your use or relying on the word HEART and the knowledge of what is the Buddhism
and the meaning of MUSHIN (mind of no-mind / mind without Self ) seemed to
creating some confusion here. I believe, I have clarified it in an earliest post.
Real compassion which impose no barrier and go beyond the species is in MUSHIN.
——- And especially Zen doesn’t relying on the Self constructed on the WORDS
but the deed, how actually doing and living —— its mean observe the Self / Who
you are, meant Not the fancy explanation by the Words but the details of Deed.
So, HEART / COMPASSION —— beautiful then show me What you are doing with
    your beautiful Heart.

  4. antiphonsgarden said, on December 1, 2010 at 14:21

War s are a sign of the neurose, mostly created by such division like “higher soul” and “lower animal”concepts of “control”. An inner division leading to outside division. Empathy is natural to self accepting humans.

Some Zen talks sounds like macho coolness pretending to stay “above” such girl heart fullness. I tell you, after years of care for a mother with Alzheimer and incontinent, you would KNOW what I mean by daily life compassion.

    • yoshizen said, on December 1, 2010 at 15:03

To conceive the notion ” Higher ” ” Lower ” ” Above ” is the starting point which had
      lead to the Holocaust.
I’ve wrote about a part of the brain which we inherit from the far ancestor / Limbic
system, but I didn’t use a word “animal” since its neuro-control is a part of ourself.
Anyhow, we are 80% Banana, 98.5% Chimpanzee.
      ——–
It is the beautiful act to take care of your mother.
Though, your mother is, of cause a part of you or your kind. Pretty natural yet,
so many such NOBLE creatures fail to do.

  5. antiphonsgarden said, on December 3, 2010 at 12:28

I used to be charmed by what I perceived from far of zen, as something near to my heart. Then I meet some considering ZEN as a doctrine, and I felt like Ikkiu facing the traditionalists.

I would say, some are in the flow,
some apply to zen the same neoplatonist moralin division and hierarchy clergy bureaucracy control mistrust of the human, possible in each situation(probably the same unwilling to reflect how this led to dehumanising self disdain.

My mother fault in the Resistance ( she rejected each medal!), she gave me a sense what life is worth .She used to say, churches/temples are interesting places, but the spirit is everywhere.

    • yoshizen said, on December 3, 2010 at 13:59

I can see and agree what you felt in the past and wrote here.
Since Buddhism, even the Zen has no fixed doctrine or canonized one book, in fact
as Buddha taught the people suits to each group of the people in metaphor which
is familiar to their mind (often with their popular belief) the teachings vary a lot, often
utterly contradicting to the words of another day.
For instance, Buddha taught there is no such things like perpetual soul / Atman,
though, when he was questioned “This new born baby did no bad things at all,
so, why he was born blind” may be for a convenience at the time, he answered
“Oh, it is the Karma of his previous Life” ——- to make the people understand
everything exists in relation to others / nothing suddenly happen by its own,
was the main matter. Since then even such fundamental teaching has been
misinterpreted —— let alone the differences between teacher to teacher, book
      by book.
—— That’s why I needed to look around everywhere and yet still, I may wrong
—— yet still, this is my pathway, only the pathway for my life.
So, I don’t know, whether I would end up in a Hell (which, Buddha said no such things)
I don’t care, if its happened, I’m already dead and no wondering soul to see the Hell there. 🙂

  6. antiphonsgarden said, on December 3, 2010 at 15:27

Those who believe in hell are already there.
I experienced love as kernel energy, and help humans to find back to it through self aware acceptance. Once humans touch back to this common ground, it is like spring at winter. Not neglecting the pain, deeply trusting the lotus growing in the mud.
All what we can understand about life…is just here&now, in front of and in us.
Some books and peoples echo this permanently unfolding truth who can be felt, some wants to dominate it.I trust in surrendering to it.Relaxing into it.Being it.Simplicity!

    • yoshizen said, on December 3, 2010 at 16:13

      It’s a pretty good thought.
If I may make a joke, I admire the love, so, my regret is, I didn’t marry a woman
who I loved so much, since I’m living in the Hell, she should be better off to
live somewhere else with somebody else. ( So, I’m in celibacy past 25years. It may seems in the Hell 😀 )
It doesn’t matter, as I know she is in this world and I feel as if her soul is here.
In fact, I feel so lucky to meet so many memorable people and I feel I’m surrounded by those souls.
And I feel I’m surrounded by the Dharma. (Though, its a pain on the neck some time)

    Thanks 😉
    Does she know?
25 years of Celibacy…I hope at least, you hug trees!
Everybody should find the appropriate way to receive and express love.
The Latin had several names for love.Life has thousands.
    Care well for yourself!

    • yoshizen said, on December 5, 2010 at 13:15

In Japanese tradition, once the party separated, no communication at all.
Once the pathway go beyond the cross over point, then they should go their own
direction. Never interfere. It is the Karma of each individual.
(Still, I heard a news 20 years ago, from a friend of friend (business contact), she is doing well as a mother of three.)
And since then I never seen any better woman. Anyhow, I cook better than most of them and my life style
has been too well tuned, they can’t see they can do anything. 😀
And while watching half naked woman in the dancing floor every week, I don’t feel they are safe to touch.
Better avoid all together, its not worth. Ha ha ha 😀
      —–
I don’t think I need to hug a tree. Mimicking human habit to the tree is not the way to treat the tree.
I’ve picked up the half dried-up plants on the street, and revived them and taking
care of them in a way they need ——– though, as the joy of love bring the trouble as well, they grown too big in my kitchen, fallen from the widow sill and making a lot of mess etc etc.
May be like someone’s wife. Ha ha ha 😀
And I’m having pretty busy life to help art event or giving a hand to other’s technical development all free of charge, though free attract more requirement —— it’s a
vicious circle —— what a hell. Ha ha ha 😀
So, living together with hell-mates in the hell is my way of the Buddhism. How nice to be a Buddhist. 😀

  8. antiphonsgarden said, on December 5, 2010 at 16:23

Into art event? technical development? dare share more?

In the French culture emotion and sensory sharing is much more considered as normal in the little habits of life.I heard French touches each other far more often as American in daily life…or even far more as Japanese, but I guess that reduce also the violence of a society.
The extreme polarisation between a ritualised brutal approach of the senses and the ritualised politeness, appears unbalanced to a French more used to the shades in between. Maybe our sense for romantic is different.
But probably humans have more in common worldwide as difference.

  9. yoshizen said, on December 5, 2010 at 16:57

Just scroll through my blog / category Art, Photography, Cyber space.
Link to BBC news. And Youtube images might give brief idea what I’m doing.
In fact I’ve appeared in a French Arte TV as well and in the Le Liberation with my
    strange creation.
    —–
I think, there is not much complicated explanation needed, simply French are hot blooded
Latin people ( in comparison, Japanese and English are dead or vegetated ) 😀
They love the life, love the love-life. Making it as much as exiting.
So, even I was their victim of Canura ( spel ? —– vicious practical joke ) —— so, make the life stair up. 😀
I don’t believe the French has managed to reduce the violence. Their political protest,
economical dispute such as port blockade etc always go quite further than English.
After all the French Revolution was only a kind in that time in Europe.
    ——
So called Buddhist behaving “typical” style is because his (her) Buddhism
hasn’t deepen more than a skin deep pretense. Just ignore. That’s why even to me,some time
it took a while to discover the person was a profound Zenist.
Until it became necessary they don’t talk Zen. Editor and Photographer are just concentrating their task,
they don’t need to talk about other than to creates a good article.
The people who got nothing else in their life to talk, talk Zen. 😀
Though, Zen is to live the life.
