RIOT ! RIOT !

In south London, just next area of affluent Dulwich Village, there is [notorious] Peckham.

—– anyhow, I’m going there to find some kind of cheap fancy products, as there are 4 of the pounds

shops competing.  With short hop down there, suddenly my journey was halted by a Police cordon.

What ?   A, Ha ~~~~  so this is the aftermath of the Riot !

Non

I don’t have a taste of excitement to be an onlooker of violence or fire what so ever.

( In fact, in the 70th, I’ve seen the battle between Up-rise student and the Riot police or the battle between

the student sects, and took picture of it, so, I know how bloody and agly it is)

So, here, I settle with a rather [peaceful] afternoon landscape.

A shop right on the photo was said to have ransacked and a lingerie shop in the centre of photo was burnt down.

—– ?   Why lingerie shop ?   (May be a connection of gang group or lack of it ?  Who knows )

non

In this country, the culprits and his (her) right has been perfectly protected, if not by the law, by the

so-called civil right organization who can invent any pretext to justify the acts —– in other words,

completely shielded from the consequences.  Which effectively make the culprit untouchable

and the authority and the police became transparent or make them mere chaser in a Game.

Even if it was convicted, few weeks community works ?

Anyhow, rioter wouldn’t know the full brunt of the victim’s pain.    If the person,  culprit

wouldn’t feel the consequence,  how the person knows the  meaning of Karma.

Situation has been made even worse by the false environment of the Computer Game kind.

Not because of its violent contents, but

by the Player’s subconscious has been conditioned to live in the Virtual world.

Or,  they got used to live in an imaginary = Virtual world.

Once the person lost the firm connection to the community or real society,  this real world became

no different to the space in the Game.   Find the target, avoid the enemies. [ACTION  REQUIRED]

RIOT GAME in the real set-up must be much more exciting than in a small screen.

—– Trouble is,  once they tasted the excitement,  this Game may become even more popular.

Urban Warfare in the London town may become most played young kid’s game soon.

One of the SMS in the Black Berry Massage said to be ” Pure havoc.  Free staff ” — how exiting !  (for them)

Unless the person was connected and feel the same pain,  to see somebody else’s havoc must be exciting.

This is a trouble of a disintegrated / fragmented society which no longer hold the same Ethos.

non

Very funny irony is,  as the Riot spread,  even Rioter and their close friends became to the victims,

then working together to clean up the aftermath,  sharing the pain —– even Rioters are discovering the

sense of the community which is similar to the situation, under the German Bomb, it’s created

close tie of the people.  ( This tie is not virtual)

My only hope is,  the Police doesn’t become THE ENEMY of the People,  nor different ethnic groups armed

themselves as the Vigilante Force.  ( —– England is in a tricky situation)

I wouldn’t mind the Rioter goes to Tony Blair’s or Bush’s house 😀
Anyhow, both names are the dirty words now, and only ignorant pays huge money for Tony to give a lecture.
( But I guess, the people come to such lecture, only to see the rare animal aren’t they ? —– at least, it is only
remaining near extinct animal —– or, is not it last one ? = bad news) 😀

all militaries of the world have virtual simulation of battlefield and war. remote killing with video camera feed from predator drones and button pressing is not virtuoreal killing eh?

    • yoshizen said, on August 10, 2011 at 18:33

Ho ho ? So, the stories of Taliban killed by a Predator bombing is the virtual fantasy ?
Blime. Its a pretty expensive fantasy isn’t it ?

you just dont seem to understand yoshi. u said being in a computer game world is a problem. i tell you everybody is living in the computer game world especially those that wage war. then you say killing from virtual world is *good* if it kills taliban. but what about children that killed in the predator strike too? its their karma huh?

Have I ever said, killing is “good” ?
One of my friend is Wali Masude, younger brother of Shar Masude, assassinated Afghan minister. ( I was
helping Mojahedine fighting against Russia — so, I know Afghanistan a bit )
As the matter of fact, Taliban is killing far more civilian include the children than American, as they killing
the suspected collaborator one by one and by IED, lots of children remotely —– but as it is the daily
killing, it wouldn’t make a news. (because, only American pay compensation ==>locals make fuss)

Value judgement is a wet thinking. Ten of the thousand of killings are going on (all over the world) is
a dry fact.—– hundreds of thousands are dyeing in Africa.
Wetting the eyes or sweet word wouldn’t solve any trouble —– dry assessment, what I can do, might.
And the dry observation, what tendency the Dharma is showing —– is the matter for me.

By the way, I never touched Game kind, even notorious Japanese pin-ball = only once. I don’t do SNS.
Even I don’t have land-line telephone, nor TV —– I’m a poor man, hence only eat what I cook from
the material —– never Remotely Cooked (processed) food. Because, its cheaper.
This is what humble life mean. Have the life literally in the hand = no distant fantasy —– Ha ha ha 😀

The crew on the Enola Gay only pressed a button, then atomic bomb was dropped. —– has they killed
anybody ? A Samurai killed a man —– did he killed by himself or the sword did ? And with his superb
skill, the sword moved like super-human. —– Zen says, it was not him, the Dharma moved his sword.
      —– ? ? ? did the Dharma kill a man ?
In Zen, it is a tricky question. (among the Buddhism, Zen pushed it to the extreme)

In the question of Karma, the matter is the Cause and the Effect in the actual deed = whether it was a
button remotely pressed or did it bare hand, killing is killing. The war is real killing as the deed.
Game is not involving any real killing though, the button looks the same = have an excitement to press
it, graduallythe wash the brain of a man to live in the virtual environment = then even a real world became no difference to a virtual world. = Since it is virtual, why I have to be accused = I’m just a player.
This is the collective mass delusion. And as it was sublimated into their subconscious, its hard to change.

Incidentally, shittizen / you wrote :
    >> living in the computer game world especially those that wage war.
What you mean “wage war” —– are you believing those Rioters were “anti establishment warrior”
therefore, burnt down Sony warehouse was justifiable ? I don’t think so.
They are no better than bullies attacking easy target. Thoughtless fun-seekers.
Senseless, thoughtless is not the same to Buddhist’s Mushin.
    Don’t make me laugh 😀 😀
Quite few of my friends are the hard-core anarchists, one of them a member of “Cooperate watch” group and
having connection to the super-glass / whistle-blower in the huge multinationals, and the Data hackers.
Therefore, when they act, it gives serious damages to those capitalists and exposing serious fraud
being practiced by those capitalists = they are taking a war in their hand as their deed, while risking their job.
Don’t use those someone else’s buzz word to pretend, you are taking a stance any higher 😀
It’s a laughing staff. Wake up.

with rare exceptions most of the looting/rioting happened to big business shops on the high street well covered by all kinds of insurance 🙂 they did not loot people’s homes. why? because the looters *also* have some dharma it seems.

contrast that with looting done by MPs using expense claims. where is the punishment for them?

i’m not using any buzz word. and stop assuming that i am stupid.

  6. yoshizen said, on August 14, 2011 at 01:08

Is it ? Blime. The news you are reading must be from nowhere.
In south London, like Peckham to Elephant and Castle area, non of big multinationals were attacked.
Despite the exposed windows, no KFC or MaC, non of any big bank received even a single stone.
The shops which had been attacked were a small pawn shop, off-licence etc mostly run by Asian.
Only a shop burnt down in Peckham was a fancy lingerie shop owned by a black woman.
All four families lived up stair lost everything —– mostly black families. (it’s in my photo)
So, this is yet another evidence, —– I don’t need to see it with any wet assumption.
Just dry facts of what you are saying is, enough to convince me.
    —– got it ? convinced ?
Or realized first time ever in your life, [Who you are] —– it’s a good news, you are one step wiser.
And if it’s happened, it should be at least one good outcome, out of this futile exchange.
Have a peaceful weekend without to see looting 😀
