Japanese New Year’s Card 2012 – (3)

Posted in Art, Cyber Space, East and West, Fun to read :-D, Zen in Action by yoshizen on December 20, 2011

As the New Year is coming only ten days  time,  Nippon Yubin (Japan Post) and many

Sites started to show free New Year’s Card design  🙂

(Though, some are too keen to use it as a tool for their business promotion, it is not necessary straight forward,

such as Japan Post’s images are now in [png] not easy jpeg  (you can tinker in Photoshop) as they expecting

the user to compose the image in their format — still, you may go to their site direct and download the image,

from their 3,000 image collection ! —— (but,  it’s in Japanese !)

Japan Post’s site ; —– http://www.yubin-nenga.jp/index.html

And, following are from the Canon’s site = Yes, Canon of  camera and the printer !

With the clout of the global company, they are generous and the design quality is pretty high.

Their site is ;  —-  http://cp.c-ij.com/ja/event/nenga/index.html  —– (there are hundreds of samples !)

———————————————————————————————————————————

Powerful Calligraphy above is the character [龍/Dragon], —- ( never mind the rest = all saying ” Happy New Year “)

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Here,  he is saying ” Glad, we got happy new spring  🙂 ” ————–(right) [Kyoga-shin-nen] = Happy New Year.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmMMMMMMMMMM

In the old Moon calender, New Year was about February = beginning of the spring, hence the right one

is saying  ” Congratulate the Early New Spring”.

————————————————————————————————————————

Above left says ” Akemashite Omedetou-Gozaimasu” —————- (right) ” Shinshun” = New Spring.

= Congratulate for having New Year.

Three plants images are  Pine, Bamboo and Plum (松,竹,梅) as they are regarded to be auspicious.

Another Japanese site is Epson, though, to download the sample image, it seems necessary to register.

So, have a fun to look around and create nice Card.

(My Greeting Card may come soon or later   🙂  )

Hey just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same outcome.

I’m aware its difficulty. The photos in WordPress blog site is not just naked [jpeg, jpg, etc] but they
are in the WordPress file. That was the reason why I’ve put the link to the original site (sorry, you may
have puzzling navigation to find the same image, to go through many pages in the Japanese site) —-
      —- I think, it’s a fun —- don’t you think so 😀

To convert Japan Post’s [png] images which got annoying dots back ground = Put the image into
Photoshop once (if you need to compose or re-size there, just proceed) and simply make a file for
[web] ( Choose [jpeg or jpg] and choose the size if you want) = job done !

Still, some hours left. (New Year’s card should arrive on the morning of 01-01-2012 😉 )
I hope, you can manage it in time and you yourself have
      Happy New Year ! 🙂

Howdy would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

    • yoshizen said, on January 9, 2012 at 07:18

      Hi Angelia
This is WordPress of which, the template called [Journalist.3] I think.
If this is anything unique, it is its humble simplicity = simple for a man who knows nothing 😀

I just wanted to put a comment to another blog. To do it, I was asked to register = when I
register, strangely my blog-spot was also created = if it’s there, I have to do something,
while knowing nothing about blogging. So that, I had to chose simplest design = this is it.
Since I’m a Zennist and my name is Yoshi = so, Yoshizen, though I regretted its naming
as there are many same named restaurants in Japan 😀
I guess, if the contents is the matter, the simpler the decoration would be the better.
      So, just start.
I hope your success in your project.

This is a free blog space of WordPress though, some are fast others may not.
I think it purely depend on what the content is 😀
