Flying Angel — Wire Figure

Wire Angel(1)DCP02646

This is my Angel,  yet another wire-figure I made on 2007.  (So, those photos were

taken by that old Kodak camera, and the photos were clopped —- hence, pretty low

quality photos)  But not PSed, the figure was really in the air (hanged from the tree).

When I brought this to a gathering of Dorkbot, the figure made a well known artist

Anne Bean, frozen 5 min—– ( I was frightened, such good artist can memorize all the

structure and able to make identical copy  🙂 )

Wire Angel(4)368-001

Wire Angel(5)367-001

Strangely you may found, this lady has no neck.   Her right hand holding the head.  🙂

Wire used was  1.6mm garden wire,  and I was planned to make it x5 size, it’s mean

life-size,  by 8mm copper tube though, I realized that, if I made this in my room,

I can’t take it out  😀

—– One day, when I got big studio, I’ll do it (though, seemingly never happen  😀 )

She’s beautiful! I see her negative space neck. As we age, that sort of neck is my preference;)

      Thank you Elena.
I didn’t think that way at all.
Simply there wasn’t enough wire left to further make the head, when I came to the shoulder.
Not an artistic consideration. Ha ha ha 😀

      Thank you Bente.
She is one of my best beauty —- still, I got quite a few more 😉
(I got very shy Venus though, I need to shoot her video as she moves) 🙂

She is beautiful! The set of photographs is very nicely done, emphasizing her weightlessness and graceful form.

Thank you Karen. I’m aware, I should re-shoot her taking two light stand (to hang her) instead of a tree branch,
with my better camera etc. —– and years past. Sigh. ;-(
