Whose LIFE is it ?

In the Buddhism, to think “ This is my Life” might be the most arrogant notion.

—– In the truth, we might be here by the will of somebody else,

Buddha or Dharma whoever over there.

Its mean we are here to fulfil his will or intention. —– in other words, on the surfice, we are

believing that “ I have chosen my direction. It was my decision”  though, in fact it was given, and

we just have taken its opportunity in its occurrence. ( Remember, you didn’t chose to born —– you

have just become aware you are here —– when you were 8~10 years old 🙂 )

It was not accident. —– It was predestined direction.

This is what the selflessness really mean in its deepest meanings.

( What really exists is not you, but the Dharma —– so, the words “Dharma in you” may be

misguiding —– YOU were not separate entity or counter notion from the beginning )

And this might be the real meaning to be the life to be the Bodhisattva.

The life is, not one’s life but the Life of the Dharma.

TOY and ELECTRONICS

A while ago I was introduced to a guy who needs to have some helps for his electronic project.

This guy Richard has been running his shop-sign design business near the work shop of the

Open Wifi Networking people / OWN, and he was introduced me through this group.

As he wanted to expand his design to LED light sign-board, but without having enough knowledges of

electronics. ( —– good boy. I like this kind of people. Keen to study and challenge new field.)

(Any how, I myself started a hobby of electronics from scratch

without having any formal education or training)

He had started to make sign-board using a kit bought from China —– and having mountain of

problems, the power supply, heat-up, etc etc. (May be it worked in China though, this country got

much more strict Safety regulation and the customers are more fussy, and so on)

Basically, the Chinese design was rather cleverly simplified, using less components —– would work

just within the limit and under an ideal condition.

Though, the trouble of bespoke designs are, they are not always the same design, and the number

of LEDs on the board are not necessary the same number.

So, I suggested the modification and the change of the components, power supply etc etc,  in fact

quite a lots of works needed to make them perfect    🙂

On the beginning, he tried to pay for my help. I told him “My help is free. And even if he want to pay,

he can’t afford my formal charge”   “One day, if I need, I may need to ask your help”

“So, just glad to receive a help from others, and give a help when he saw if others needed”

——- Then, he found the Chinese toys using LEDs and showed me if they can be used to control the

electronic signal in the sign-board.

Modification or adaptation of electronic circuit is much easier than to make a tandem bicycle out of

two broken bicycles (which needs to have a lots of cutting and welding —– a messy business)

As a matter of fact, I’ve been doing many of those kind of adaptation.

A video clip of my rotating  LED disco costume in Youtube was made out of a Chinese toy too.

When I saw the complicated lighting pattern of 5 LEDs in the small toy, I’ve got the idea to utilize it

(then, I made more than 10 design and the prototypes —– and one end-up as a fancy disco gadget 😀 )

If I design and make the same from scratch, by using gate ICs or a micro-controller IC, it would become

quite a size and impossible to rotates, let alone to mount it on a disco costume.

Since Chinese manufacturer designed and made it as a cheap toy, expecting to sell millions, they made

all the controlling circuit and the memory in one custom IC, everything is in a thumb nail sized board

—– so that, I’ve bought 20 of them 50 pence each 🙂 —– what a bargain 😀

Most of those ICs in the toys which execute a pre-programmed

routine is having a digital memory and its execution speed is

clocked by an internal RC clock, and its frequency is

supply voltage dependent, its mean if we change it, it could

slow down the speed.

The toys, Richard found was rapidly flashing RGB LEDs disco

pendant kind.   Those electronic circuit can be modified to flash

the letters on a sign-board by adding higher current transistor,

and can have more effective speed or giving more interesting

random movement as well.

And by using much higher supply voltage, it can light up lot more number of LEDs —– the variations are

endless —– after all, they are so cheap,  try this and that —– any faliuer wouldn’t cost you much.

Try to analyse and modify the circuit is a kind of game and a fun. —– and I made user friendly, ready to

use small board for him (and his assistants) to make sign-board.

—– rest of work is for him / he is the designer.    I was just an adviser.

It was an interesting occasion to see a person rapidly learning and succeeding.

This is the Zen at work. (for me and for him)

Let the things to come and happen.—– In Buddhist’s view, it is not an accident. 

It’s happened as it should be.

Be flexible in the brain / in the way of thinking, and to the occurence in the life,

and above all,  just do what required there in its best.

Hence, I was happy and he was happy too.

The day and the life in total would be quite fruits-full. ( with a lots of fun as well 🙂 )

JAPANESE Psyche

There was the interesting exchange of the mails about the quality of the Japanese politician and their Psyche.

And the Japanese Psyche in general.  (I may repeat this in English soon)

高貴な問題ではなく，むしろ本人や党の台所事情ではと見えたのですがいかが？

かつての自民－社会対立の頃にはそれぞれが，企業－労組という強力かつ安定した資金源があり，金はないが

名将の器という人物が党の応援を得て当選し頭角を現す可能性があった。

ところが経済の混迷，それに引きずられて政党政治の混迷が起り，上記したような，

それなりに安定していた政治資金システムも崩壊してしまった。

言ってみれば 政治景観は，野武士ならまだしも，夜盗，かっぱらいだけがとにかく金を作って

生き残れるといふ焼け跡化してしまったのです。怪しげな利権のつながりで金をせびって来られる夜盗の頭目が

寄って来るかっぱらいを集め新党を作ったり他の徒党との取引に明け暮れる

－－－こりゃロクでもない連中ばかりになるといふのは当然でしょう。

それでもなんとか世の中が回ってる。沈みながら、ではあるにしても。

［君，君たらずとも，臣，臣たれ］［己れの分をわきまえよ］で,ひたすら己れの分である所の職務を全うする。

全ての職務が平常心を持って完遂されれば，つまり全ての歯車が正常に回れば，

全体としてシステムは昨日と同様に作動する。メデタシメデタシ。

（逆に言えば昨日と同じで，新事態となるとお手上げ）

－－－つまり，日本人はこの［己れの分］を全うする為に，ひたすら滅私奉公。

ところがこの滅私といふのは無私とは程遠く，［分］というのは縄張りに外ならない。

縄張りに入って来るヨソ者を排撃するだけでなく，大きな縄張りを持った者ヘのネタミ，妨害は執拗にやる。

「このMLは俺が作った」のテですよ。

－－－で，この［分］というのが日本人の場合，極度に狭い。もう卑小と言える狭さ。

知ったような顔で知識はあるが（なんたって世界ーの就学率，英語教育だけでも１０年）

しかし，その知識も，己れの［分］以外は「おこがましくって」と無視。

何しろ［月毎のおこずかい］を女房からいただき家政経済にすら疎い程ですから。

そうして，個である事の最後のトリデをオタクとかネットのポルノに見つける。

ネットは情報空間，コミニュケーション領域を異状な程に拡大した筈なのですが

良く見てみると，実はそうした卑小な密室にこもった人間同志が同類と交っているだけで，当人の視野や

思考領域が拡がっている訳ではなく，多少でも違ったコトを言う者が居ると完璧に無視されるか袋叩きに合う。

この異常な程の世界の狭さは大企業のトップでも同じで「それは現場に聞いてくれ」となる。

－－－で，日産もソニーもトップは外人に任せるコトになった。

－－－ムムム？－－－ひょっとしたら，官僚や政府の要職には英人米人をやとったら？

縄張りと面子の調整で［和］に到逹するのが日本教の理念ですが，何しろ出発点，土台となる視野が

あまりにも狭いから，そもそも自分の鼻の頭を見るのが精一杯。

自分を客観視して位置を見定められないし，まして方向など言わずもがな。

大変な滅私奉公をやりながらとにかくシステムを回し続ける忍従は賞賛に値すると言えますが，

同時にその卑小な世界，縄張りにしがみつく頑迷さ，傲慢さもすごい。

（で，この縄張り意識（自己存在のより処）を失うと，コロっと自殺してしまう）

－－－滅私が無私に成長するとは限らない事の典形です。惜しい。

（まァ，褝家でも本当に開かれた目を持った視野の広い人物は希ですから）

で，何か改善策はあるのか？－－－「ワトソン君，良い質問だ」（Good question !）

目前に在る対象にのみ反応し，それ以外の事象への想念を，雑念妄念として排除するのが褝なのですが

（つまり己れの手にある問題にのみ集中しそれを完遂する－－－振かかって来る火の粉は払わねばならぬが，

燃えている家の火を消すのは火消しの役目！！！）と言う［己れの分をわきまえた］行動様式は実に

３００年５００年に渡って叩き込まれている以上に，全システムがこの理念で動いているのです。

本物かどうか抜きに ［専門家としてテレビに］ 出て来た人間の言った事なら鼻くそでも鵜吞みにするが，

それ以外はどんな正論でも聞く耳を持たない。

（従って，戦争意識はー回の玉音放送でピタリと終息してしまった）

実は日本人自身，何かおかしいとは気になっているのです。

だからこそ，限りなく出版される「日本人論」を買い続け，ー方あらゆる占い，血液形だ風水だと読みまくり，

己れは何者か，何処に立っているのかといふのを［お告げ］の中に見出そうとする。

ファッションの撰択すら，TV，メディアで確定されたタイプに限る。

セクハラとかPCといった社会理念，法制度すら［先進文化国家］で確立定着した片カナとなると

すぐ飛つくが日本独自の因習は完全に黙殺される。（今でも舶来崇拝！）

あくまで［与えられた分］の中に収まろうとする訳です。

つまり自分の判断には自信が無いから，自分で撰択し自己規定できない。従って周囲の人間に対しても

既製のレッテルを貼るだけで理解したような気分になっている。（さらに悪い事に，このレッテルが

次々と発明されて増え続け，それを的確に使い，かつ気持悪い程に馬鹿丁寧な言い回しができないと

文化的，知的にとり残された馬鹿とのレッテルを貼られ片付けられる。つまりこの文章も「まァ，限られた，

ごくー部のヒトであるのではと想像いたしますが」とか書いておかないと，僕もネトウヨのレッテルを貼られて

袋叩きに会うかも）この思考の硬直化はもうファッショのー歩手前です。オッ恐ろしかァ。

－－ミュータントとか新人類と呼ばれる若者が出て来た時，日本人も少しは変わるのかと思ったのですが，

それからさらに３０年，世界は激変してしまった中でも，全く変っていないのです。

－－－つまり僕ごときが今更何か言っても何の足しにもならない。僕は自然観察から出発して社会学，

人間観察に入った者で，予言者になる事も神がかりを演じる事もできないのです。

－－－それでも多少の期待を込めて敢えて書けば，ようやく盛上って来た原発廃棄ヘ向けての署名運動の

ようなもの，その大義に加わっていく事で己れの殻を破り新しい，未知の世界に目を開く事，

ひょっとしたら全く無馱になるかも知れない事に己れをかり立てる－－－つまり無償の行為＝無私というものを

実践するきっかけになるのでは？　そうした実践経験の中から，新しい人間像が生れて来るのを期待したい。

TRUTH or is it in the BELIEFE

A while ago I was exchanging the opinion with my friend who started to wonder why the scientists

who supposedly dealing the subjects with fact based rationalism,  still making utterly

dubious explanation to such as the nuclear or environmental issues.

And he said, is there any relation or influence of the persons belief system to even a scientific

research and its conclusion.

—– Well, my answer was,

1)  The science what we ordinary folks generally know is.  only a corner of popular science and there

are many [another kind of] science —– such as creationist’s / Christian science or some pseuedo

sciences etc. etc. —– Even a Black Hole or 4^th Dimension are out of our comprehension still,

they are regarded to be the science.

2)  The science is not an absolute truth.    It is more like a technique of debate.

In one frame-work,  using the fact(s) as the evidence and construct the theory or hypothesis.

Then from the theory, make a model or an expected projection and apply to the other samples.

If its works on the other samples —– the theory is proved to be true.

The matters in the debate is to convince others. = If the others were convinced,  it became an

established or widely accepted theory.  Still, not necessary everybody,  hence it may split the science

community or society general. —– Some are following, others are not.

3)  Discovery of the facts and the technology which can affect  them are changing everyday.

New facts and the new approach and the techniques are keep appearing

and the re-examination of previous results or theories are taking place everyday —– hence,

the truth yesterday is not necessary so tomorrow.

Therefore,  some may convinced but to others,  it may seem to be utterly rubbish and fraud.

( Remember, until 250 years ago,  the lightning was understood to be an anger of the Good,  until

very courageous and lucky Benjamin Franklin catch it into a jar and proved it was electricity.

( I’m puzzling how and why he wasn’t killed  😀 ))

I definitely know, the sun is rising every day and goes round in the sky but never noticed

the ground / earth is rotating —– still, I accept the sun is in the centre,  not the earth

—– by the widely accepted science as I got no basis to contest it.  I have no choice but to join 😀

We know what is electricity —– to connect a light bulb to battery,  it would light up thanks to the

flow of electron —– though,  nobody ever seen what is the electron.

All the evidences are circumstantial,  in other words we are seeing only its effects.

Yet still,  we need and use its effect.   We don’t care what is taking place in a coil in the motor —–

as long as it’s rotates.   ( Some of you might remember the Rule of right hand to know the relation of

electric current, magnetic field and the direction of movement —– we can see the fingers, but

rest of the phenomena = we only believe )

Yet, as it explain well and the effects are always consistent,  we convinced it is the TRUTH)

We know thousands, even millions of phenomena in its appearances but need to believe the truth

or the theories behind.   Our imagination is filling the gap by what we call  [intelligence].

Unfortunately we human being is still not clever enough to handle vast amount of factors and

the parameters in such as environmental phenomenon though, clever enough to select convenient

facts to construct a model which conveniently conveys the opinion —– regardless

whether it was true or not. ( I’m not suggesting,  I’m odd with conservationists,  but saying how hard

to construct [a model] which is having millions of parameters of which we haven’t even discovered yet)

When we handle the matters in the nature or even about ourself we encounter the invisible of

which the whole truth hasn’t been fully discovered,  and there may be the unknowable.

In fact, we know only very little.   So that, even in a critical science we hide the gap of knowledges

behind of such as the statistical numbers —– hence the theory or prediction is only a guess.

If we have to deal with a matter which got too much unknowable, we either construct

metaphysics or myth —– or religion.   If you believe, it is the truth,  hence the belief system.

My friend’s argument was, even a scientist who is having a strong belief system (its might have

hidden deep in their subconscious, due to their up bringing)  may tend to creates a theory

more imaginative (or Dogmatic ) than the facts based objective science.

———- ?— Its might be true.

And they might be believing and aiming the more positive outcome of the theory which would

coherent with the idea of promised land and the harmony —– subconsciously construct the

theory to proof the God was correct and the world is perfect.  Therefore,  such as an

environmental model should have automatic feed-back and self-preservation.

( And they knew the theory of self-destruction is not popular to get a financial support )

 

In fact, the universe would continue to exists even without the notion of the God and its alleged

creation —– practically the system looks to continue  for ever 😀

( Since the geological time scale is too long for us to imagine )

We are standing the moment to establish the final General Theory which may proof

the multidimensional world —– we said to be co-existing next to 4^th dimension,

5^th dimension etc,  we might be living with the soul of people in the past. —– really ? ? ?

( I know something there —– but not necessary because of the String Theory —– even if

a fancy subatomic particle or antimatter was found and its trace was recorded in a digital

imaging screen,   how do I know the soul of my friend is there ? )

FORMURA in DHARMA

I have written about how Leonardo Davinch was obsessed with his Masonic belief a while ago.

And it is well known that the Masonic people has been trying to figure out the fundamental rule of

the universe in its proportion or mathematical formula, hence the architectural proportion of

the old temple etc.

Fibonacci number / its rule of consecutive numbers are one of the rules found in nature —–

since they thought, it should have the ultimate power of rule of universe. etc etc.   ( It is true, some plants

and its order of distribution of  leaves or seeds on the pod shows certain pattern, hence certain formula

which lead to the discovery of the very Fibonacci number ) —– so what ?

Unfortunately, there is no such magic formula to solve the trouble in the human life.

If the perfect proportion of the old temple have had any mythical protective power of the universe,

it couldn’t have been destroyed.

It is a tendency of the dream of lazy and yet greedy man —— to grub the power and the fortune

by tricking using the simple and easy formula —– and believing such things could ever exist.

Of cause, Buddha taught no such things could ever exists, and such idea is nothing

but a delusion. —– though, some Mahayana Mantras having many fancy super natural stories.

A man who read Diamond Mantra and wanted to gain such super natural power, asked me to teach

the secret of Zen. (since he believed I’ve got it —– how nice complement 😀 )

Give a thought or two to what Buddha taught —–

Fixed formula which got only few parameters only works to the fixed, limited condition.

Buddha said, nothing stays permanent and keep changing moment to moment = out of

reach of any fixed formula.

Such formula is a product of our poor thinkings —– how we can rely such idea when the author,

ourself is unreliable.   Even its existence is not certain.

Above all, what is the intention to get such secret formula for — to get the good result quick ?

To get power and the fortune in easy way ? = What a greed and the arrogance.

Such greed or arrogance negates any virtue of the Buddhism.

One Buddhists sect recruiting the people saying “Get happiness quick“— though, such idea to appeal

the people’s greed negates Buddhism itself.   ( You can see, despite they are taking a lots though they

are the most miserable people — only able to repeat what was written in the book, and thinking  Happy)

Strange Paradox of  Goodness in the  Buddhism only came  out of  absolute nothing. From No expectation.

Buddha didn’t give an answer to many questions — long time myself has been thinking, because

it was not necessary for us to know, — though I realized, it was the very answer Buddha intended to give.

The answer itself is a notion, whether it was said by Buddha or not.  When the notion itself and

the condition based upon it couldn’t exist in a fixed form, there couldn’t be

a fixed answer = no answer is the very answer.

—– Then all the another pieces of his teachings fallen into the jigsaw —– that’s why the clear eyes to

see the Dharma is essential = Dharma itself is not fixed entity, it changes a moment to moment,

hence the flow of response is essential. The free mind, not cringe to any fixed idea, away from any

deluded idea or belief is essential = Mind of No-Mind is the key to see the Dharma.

Its mean, the compliance to the situation is the matter. See the situation as it is.

And the response on this moment may not be the same to a response a moment ago.

Its mean, there is no fixed formula. Or no-formula is the ultimate formula.

No quick fix with anticipation exists.

Don’t worry with bad anticipation, until its happened, it hasn’t happened yet.

When it’s happened, then, take best action —– as long as you keep your eyes clear,

the situation you see is far better than misguided anticipation.

Flexible structure is much stronger even in an earthquake.

This is the Buddhism.   Buddhists never miss the moment.

JOKE

One of the most cynical joke toward the Buddhism is

—– If there is no Self, where is the one who get enlightened ?

In fact, I’ve seen this joke also in a famous book written by one of the most prominent Buddhism

scholar in Japan.    He translated many important Buddhism scriptures into modern Japanese.

Which book,  I might have read 100 times ?

(so, I’ve read this joke 100 times) — Ha ha ha —– very funny 😀

And it took me more than 20 years to realize the hidden truth —–

Ah’ because, he hasn’t enlightened yet then !

As long as the one is entwined with the Self —– no enlightenment. (It is self-evident)

And the moment, when the one got enlightened —– it is the same moment as the Self disappeared.

Or, the moment when the Self disappeared, it’s mean the one was enlightened.

The Self and the Enlightenment never exist in the same time.

Therefore, to make the joke has no point —– and the author of the book hasn’t realized it by

himself —– its mean he didn’t know what is the enlightenment. Yet still, he is a professor teaching

about the Buddhism. —– knowing the words and teaching them is different from Buddhism itself.

One could get enlightened in direct transmission in one day, still the other who studied

hundreds of scriptures are not necessary guaranteed to achieve enlightenment or nirvana.

Never mind, we all are still Buddhist. Ha ha ha 😀

SEXUAL Conotation

It is a funny paradox. I always amazed to find that the search term and its wording which end up

here having many sexual connotations.   Its mean I’ve been giving so much disappointment to

those who is expected to find somewhat erotic content here.   Sorry folks   😀

It was not in my intention or tactics to attract the readers but my careless choice of the subjects.

(For instance, when I used the term [xxxx Do] it supposed to mean such as Kendo, Judo, etc.

in general. As I was not familiar with X-rated film kind, I was not aware — to other’s eyes, it can

be construed as “about Do XXX act” Ha ha ha, very funny. 😀 —– my ignorance but too late)

In 1987, when I heard very first news of the new disease from San Francisco which is now known

to be the AIDS,  I noticed that the sexual relation is no longer safe.

And it was the same time when my court case which related to a woman’s exploitation of

immigration loop-hole was started.

(A woman deported from here, fraudulently registered the marriage in Japan using my name

without my knowledge.   The woman admitted that she did it by an instruction of employer, though

the High Court Judge made it valid and granted her quick divorce for her to escape deportation to

Japan where the Police was alerted.  Naturally,  the case was brought up to the Court of Appeal.

Because of the case was too obvious fraud, the President of the High Court came out to suppress the

matter saying “no need to go into the evidence”—– since the evidence in the transcript says

“Marriage is Void” —– He couldn’t go into the EVIDENCE ) —– ( From this evidence, how

High Court Judge Dobly made the marriage valid, reflect the situation in the English justice)

I just gave up any relation.  Woman is nothing but the trouble.

So that the file in my brain to deal with woman was deleted.

The woman became just a part of a landscape, hence its sexual connotation disappeared.

Existence of Genitals doesn’t mean sex —– its sexual connotation is all in the mind.

( of which I’ve been calling  [ OBSESSION ] —– which can be erased )

Anyhow, court case consume a lots of time and a money. Especially in my case, to proceed it myself

as Litigant in Person (without Lawyer, while studying English Law overnight) was hard.

I was simply fallen into the situation,  not able to spare the time or money to a woman.

It was totally out of question.

Of cause the knowledge was still there and able to see or hear what woman says, though it doesn’t

connect to my EMOTION  hence the so-called female sexuality or their sex appeal stop to

appeal to my mind —– they became the matter of  foreign land or different universe.

A funny side effect (?) was, as the receptacle to read sexual context in my mind has been deleted,  I lost

a capability to see the innuendo or meaning of suggestive approach or its signal. (So that, in many

cases, after long time, I suddenly became aware “I see,  she wanted to sleep with me” 😀 )

As a matter of fact, even myself was amazed to see the change of my own perception. And it

made me realize, this must be the condition of mind what the Zen Buddhism is talking about.

Then I gave a thought. Read the books I brought from Japan etc. etc. —– it was an epoch in my

quest to the Zen.   If the mind can be controlled in this way,  in reverse this must be the way to control

the mind in general. (If even a so-called imperative instinct could be negated and completely

disappeared, there can not be any difficulty to control the mind )

Since then somewhat strange 23 years past —– but, it seems it was seen by others even more strange.

Most of all, be in the Club every weekend, seemed to give an impossible puzzle to others.   😀

I was there to perfect my body movement (others call it dancing) nothing else. Though, even a

club owner, manager seemed not able to understand what is the purpose for.   As a matter of fact, I had

the indispensable opportunities to observe the Skinner Box of male-female behaviour ! ! !   😀

And seeing hundred of almost naked young girls shaking their ass every weekend for (just with the

Fridge Club in Brixton — almost 6 years) so many years, I’ve accumulated a collation of body shape, facial

expression and her dancing style and the character —– how to behave, and so on.

But never dance or even talk with them (and never drink alcohol) created funny myth —– such as,

I was the real owner or under-cover detective etc. —– The worst was mistaken as a gay (for their mind,

“if not interested in woman it must be a gay” then start sexual act straight on the spot, hugging from

behind or touch the body while wearing only kinky strings, etc. —– I respect their right to be a gay.

But I have exact the same right not to be sexually harassed by them —– do what you like but

don’t count me in) —– yet still, those facts enforced my view even stronger—-> not all the gay

And the reason why I created so many female nude figure was, simply it is easier. —– it is much

more cumbersome to make a dressed figure, using such as wire or metal panel. And if you put big

boobs it became female nude. In comparison, to show the male figure as male, needs to show more

WHAT —– ? ? ?

The left photo here is —– can you believe, a broken

heat exchange to condensate the steam to water,

inside of the Hamaoka Nuclear plant (now its

We may expect, a Nuclear plant was constructed by

shiny special alloy with ultimate precision.

Though, the fancy part is the inside of the Nuclear chamber

where the radio-active nuclear fuel rods are placed which

is heating up and boiling the water to make steam which in turn drive a turbine

and drive an electric generator —– so, the lest of the plant is just an ordinary electric power station

which could be built by any ordinary worker. —– really ? ? ?

The boiling water is directly contact with nuclear fuel, hence it is highly radio-active too.

And such radio-active water is circulating inside of the pipes you can see in the photo,

its mean nuclear radiation is not confined and sealed inside of chamber.

Unexpected accident could happen in any unexpected manner.

The broken pipes on the photo was said to be caused by an iron cap only 5kg heavy dropped inside.

Of cause, no such simple mistake should be happened, though in realities

we are making unexpected silly mistakes everyday.

So, why that iron cap didn’t have a secure chain or why the pipes didn’t have protective grid etc.

All those short comings were emanated from the complacency and the mind-set to cut the cost.

(Though, the pipes looks like burnt by intense heat, not broke open by mechanical force —– ? ? ?

From the ever powerful Power Company, contract went to such as GE (having patent of the design)

then such as Toshiba or Hitach may built the plant though actual work was done by subcontractor

and sub-subcontractors —– who knows.   Those sub-sub-subcontractors may picked up a worker

who is saying know how to weld —– and the inspection was just a formality.

Then the heat-exchange for nuclear power plant went into operation.

In the Japanese ethos, each profession / technician has their own pride called [Shokunin-konjyo]

(Craftsman’s ethos) which proud of their perfection and the quality of the work —– it’s exists even in

a forefront hi-tech industry, the eyes to find minute difference in the material or a work piece and

the minuscule adjustment which is almost invisible to the eyes ( in Buddhist’s term it is the mindfulness)

—– then realize supreme quality.

Though, it might be too much to ask to a worker of sub-sub-subcontractor picked up on the day.

Even a billion of billion yen project, as the profit was siphoned out ( in order to pay for the politician

and the licensing inspector) then the cost was squeezed by which only sub-sub-sub worker can accept

to work —– so that, no one can expect the quality and reliability of their work.

—– wait a moment, this is a part of dangerous Nuclear Power plant not a steam boiler to

heat a green house for vegetable.

Something went seriously wrong in Japan.

Japanese government keep refusing the research and assessment of the IAEA, WHO

and the Greenpeace in order to prevent the situation of the spread of radio-active

contamination become public, and the rest of the world to know —— I wonder, they could

be accused of the crime against the humanity.  Why not ? ? ?

PEACE in JAPAN —- Really ? ? ?

Japan is a strange country.   Among the developed countries, it is the most safe, prosperous

country.  Newborn babies’ mortality rate is the smallest in the world and live longest life.

In other words, it is the most peaceful place in the world. Never seen bloody conflict or

political economical insurgence, other than few Yakuza killings and very remote poison-gas attack

by the religious fanatics. —– Only exception is occasional natural disasters which is

killing handful people in each incidence.

—– so, some may say Japanese are spoiled by the peace.

It seems, the previous post which I wrote how Japanese is overcoming the disaster by

ignoring the BAD NEWS, annoyed some people who was saying “ Don’t mix-up

the natural disaster to the man-made Nuclear Accident and the failure of the

response by the government.

I’m well aware of it. In fact I’ve been annoyed by the situation myself. At least, I was an

anti-establishment activist. —-but, we learned it in 60^th, 70^th how hopeless the situation is.

The expression in the west [Bang the head against a stone wall] would explain the

situation. —– And the rack of the political leadership, charismatic leader, nor championing

organization — hence no prospect of any change. ( You might be noticed, there is

virtually no anti-Nuclear demonstration in Japan except the one organized by the

musicians —– it was more like a family outing to cheer-up the depressed people

and politically gave no effect )

So that, there is very positive activities to help the disaster stricken people, but in the same

time deep hopeless mind-set toward the situation, especially the government or establishment.

This hopelessness and powerlessness toward the ever murky politics and the

situation of the Nuclear Plant made the people to feel —– it is no different from

unfortunate fate, like the one’s death which will inevitably comes.

(Remember, there was anti-Nuclear or anti-War demonstration, though I never seen

anti-death demonstration — of cause, there is no point at all though,

it is utterly unfair isn’t it. Why not ? 😀 )

—– This Japanese psyche has been exploited by the government, hence their one-party

dominance could continued 50 years.  (Then even after the power moved from Lib-Dem to

Democratic Party, unfortunately as they have been away from the system too long,

they don’t know how to govern the country —– and the system relying on the personal

expertise and the connection, it can not be replaced and changed easily)

Japanese politics is done by the negotiations between those in power and the backup person

and not open to public, not mention foreign journalists, the debate in the Parliament are

just a farce and the Minister is just a nominal figure (the facts and the data was held by

bureaucrats, hence Minister doesn’t necessary know the whole picture) —— even a head of

government change, those people who know the data and actually run the system is

still the same.   Mind you, the system there is economically second or third largest system

and the industrially as large as US. —– when the supply of components stopped from Japan

due to the disaster there, even the iPAD production in China halted.

Japanese ENIGMA — It’s the BUDDHISM

There are numerous report of the Japanese disaster which showed incredible calmness

and the orderly behaviour of the people who went trough unimaginable devastation of

their life.

AND the unbelievable calmness while hearing and facing the situation of their Nuclear plant’s

meltdown. —– as if even a meltdown didn’t make a news or no longer the issue.

Of cause there was a cunning manipulation of the media by the government and the establishment

whose interests are heavily entwined with those Power supply industry ( with their financial, political

mutual interdependency ) and the PR machine which organized the bent scientists who has been

creating smoke screen and the deception saying “ Nuclear is safe and clean “.

So when their Nuclear system break down and shown the leak of radio-active material, they kept

pretending it was just a minor trouble of electric power failure, hence nothing serious at all, and

try to patch-up behind the scene. —– though, as it has melted down just the next day of Tsunami,

the trouble couldn’t be solved easily—– meltdown is really serous trouble.

—– still, they managed to keep the people ignorant, then rose the accident level 5 to 7, a month

later —– waited until the people get used and become immune to a bad news.

Strangely you may think, even in this situation, there is no word of Meltdown in

the Power company’s official report. (Saying  ” I’m not good in English”  😀  😀  )

So that no longer Japanese believe the Company who is just dodging the word. 

( Then what can you believe —— nothing. —– neither knows what will happen )

Strangely, how serious the situation was, which was detected and assessed by the foreign experts

who saw the Nuclear accident in Three miles Plant US, and those report was appeared in the media

abroad, —– but they were ignored as a demagogue —– anything bad news were suppressed.

This attitude was taken not only the Japanese media but it was common among the people.

[ The most important issue is, to rebuilt the life and regain the normality.

Anything obstruct this has to be rejected and ignored]

———- Whether you can believe or not, you like or not, this is the Buddhism.

Buddha told that the life is suffering — and the death is in the end. Yet still, there is

the way to overcome those obstacles by the way to see the world and the life.

And the way to see it, is the Buddhism.

By this, the Enlightenment, we can get the Nirvana —– therefore, instead of wasting

the time worrying about those obstacles and the troubles, [Just get on the life. Just Do It]

Japanese are literally doing this.   ( Unlike in the west, no riot smash or burn down the

Company —– because they know such emotional act can’t solve the trouble at all)

Now we human being is at the brink of finding the fundamental of the existence by the experiment

of Atomic research —– sound interesting though, —– [ String theory ? ? ?] —– ?

Is it the matter to how many person in the world ? Is Parallel World (even if it’s existed)

anything matters to you ?

The more closer to us, all the fancy gadgets wouldn’t work and couldn’t be designed without the

calculations in the Quantum theory —– though, how many people in the world actually dealing

with this ?   Most of the people using the gadgets only knowing which switch is on-off.

We might be extinct because of the activities of the Sun or by an Asteroid etc. etc. who knows ?

Is it help us to know what could happen one day ? — other than interesting brain teaser.  😀

———- So that, Buddha rejected anything which exist only in the mind

and irrelevant to our dairy life —– defining they are just the delusions.

To the Japanese people, natural disaster —– when it’s comes what would happen are same as the

Asteroid or Solar Activities —– it may come but what can you do ?   Nothing.

If nothing, it is better not to bother. —– Worrying wouldn’t help anything (except to the

scientists who knows better and the engineer who design more reliable structure )

And for them, the trouble of the Nuclear Meltdown and its consequence came into the

same category. —– therefore, if it’s happens, it happens —– same as inevitable death,

there is no escape hence no point to argue. —– just resign.

(Anyhow, they can’t understand what is the Nuclear Reaction mean and radiation is

invisible.  It makes no different to Earthquake.  They just shut off the useless thinking )

And as the blockage removed ( worrying mind has gone) then,  just live the day in its best.

Do the best mean, do what you can, to the things on front of you.  Help others who is having more

difficulties.  Utilize something which remains —– improvise and be resourceful. etc.etc.

The matter is live there while making in its best. —– best mean not to do wrong —– they

don’t rob others, nor steal. Even don’t cry —– crying makes others even more depressed

—– it’s no good.  So, this is how and why they are seemingly behaving in such orderly way.
