スピリチュアルショップといった店は意外とあちこちに在るようで、何やらエネルギーとかパワーが宿る石とか透視のできる水晶玉などを売っていたりする。で、しばらく前のこと、そんな店で自分はスピ派だと称する女性に出会った。何故か日本人で古代エジプト系のチャームをためつすがめつしていた。「はァ、そういうのに何かパワーでも有るンですか？」と不躾に声をかけたら「あァ、何か感じますね」とおっしゃる。「へェー、僕は手相に神秘線は在るがオカルトっぽいものは全く見えませんなァ」と返したら僕の手をのぞいて、「アッ、本物はヤバい」とのこと。スピ派というのはファッションアクセサリーのように雰囲気を楽しむものでガチのソーカとかゲンリは避けられるのだそうだ。同様に褝などはそのベジタリアン料理まではいいがその先はオタクより臭いのだとか。

そこから見たら今の日本に、家業の禅寺をつぐ必要のある人以外、何人ぐらいの人が自分の撰択で禅を学んでいるのか？ーーーさらに不思議なのは日本からこのブログへのアクセスが断えない「ダルマ/法と仏教の構造」のポストを読んでくれているのはいったい誰なのか？　そもそも、このポストをどうやって発見できたのか？（書いてある内容は素人受けする物ではないし、逆に本格的に仏教学を学んだ職業僧にとっては奇異過ぎるのではなかろうか？　いかに禅が自由な発想を呼ぶものとしてもあれはどうなのか？）

このブログでは禅仏教を専ら神経生理の自動制御に帰結して論じていますが、そこでは「だから何ンなの」はめったに出て来ない。自動制御の稼動状態（神ワザの正確さで黙々と作業するなど）は誰の目にも明らかであるから解り易い。しかしその背後には不可解なものが多すぎる上に「ホンマ？」がついて回る。無心になり、経験則やDNAに予めプログラムされた自動制御にコントロールを任せる。同様に人生をカルマの生起に任せる＝これで人智を超えたダルマによる完璧な対応処理が行なわれ全てメデタシメデタシとなれば文句ナシ。－－－とはいかない。都合良い神ワザ伝説はいくらでも並ベられるし、それをもってスピリチュアルな調和が得られるなどと強弁しても意味はないーーーつまりそれが真実ではないのだから。＝真実ではない所がダルマゆえの真実か？と、解ったようなシタリ顔してもまた無意味であるし、だからサトリは犬のクソと言ってみても何も始らない。　つまり完璧かつ有効な答はどこにも無い。

（実は禅の奥では片仮名のスピリチュアルとか本人の思い込みなどをはるかに超えた超常現象が起っているのです。（俗に目に付くものは神霊現象とかパラレルワールドとか呼ばれたりしているらしいですが）しかし、残念なことにそうした現象の証明や説明は全くできません。卑近な例で恐縮ですが小生の８１５０の怪なんてのは極めて厄介。(例えばダルマのような全能の神以外に当人の行動を予測してチケットの数字を予め準備する事などが可能か？)ーーーしかしこれが禅やダルマの神秘性と関係があるのか、単に当人の妄念の産物なのかは解らない。（なぜかそう思って行動しているとそのようになってしまう。）＝俗に因果応報と称される現象は単なる遇然ではなく、それなりのつながりを持っているようですし、現にそれが起っているのは間違いない事実です。ちょうど特定のDNAを持った人が特定の運命に従って生きているのと同様ですが、これに対する　何故か？　は永久に不可知でしょう。）（しかし、もしそうした超常現象の操作法が解ったなら、多数のグルが居るインドが核兵器や病院を持つ必要は無かったでしょう）

釈尊のためらい―ーー梵天の勧請

仏伝によると釈尊は菩提樹の下で悟りを開かれた後も、その叡智を他の人に伝える事をため らわれたとか。何故ならその真実はあまりにも深遠すぎて伝え難く、かつ人にとって理解し難いものであったからと伝えられています。で、伝説によればそれを知った梵天（バラモン教の最高神ブラーマン）は、これは人類にとっての大損失と憂い、釈尊の元に参じるや是非とも教えを説いて欲しいと懇願したとか云々。

釈尊の初期の教えは先ず四聖諦、次に縁起の考えであったとされているのですが、それでは、と改めて考察してみると、明析な真実を指摘した四聖諦や極めて論理的な縁起思想の中に伝え難い複雑な真理が隠されていたとは考えられない。むしろここには、かの自我無我の問題が在ったと考える方が妥当ではないかと見えますが。

そもそもバラモン教、べーダ思想の根幹である霊魂の不滅に対して発想された無我の思想が

釈尊の悟りにおいて、その核心として確立されていなかったとは考え難い。（見ている当人＝主体が無いなら、無い主体が見た対象が存在するのも確かでは無いと、後の空観の根底を成す）（般若心経に書かれているような、はるか後年になってから弟子に加わった舎利子に対って、たかが菩薩如きが無我を大発見したなどと説教する話は全くの荒唐無稽）しかし、自我の問題ばかりは説明しようの無い難問が付いて回るのです。自我あるいは、霊魂は無いと言えるのは、その概念が在るからこそ成り立つので、それが初めから存在しなかったら発想すら出来ない。ちょうど色盲の人には色について説明しようが無いのと同じです。ーーーで、真に自我が無いならそれについて説明できる筈も無いし、そのふりをしながら言葉で説明するなどひどい欺瞞でしかない。伝え難く、理解し難い重要問題とは将にこの自我無我の難問であったに違い有ません。（だからこそ、それが憶測を呼び後の空観へと拡大発展していく事になった）

ーーーしかし、この壁をのり越えるのには別に梵天の登場を待つ必要は無かった、と言うよりそもそも言葉で説明する必要は無かったのです。要するに何かをやらせて見れば良い。人が何かをやる時、別に自我は必要ない。歩く目的やその損得を考えるなどと言うのはわざわざ考えた時に思い付く事であって、歩いている最中には何も考えていない。つまりそれをやっている本人がそれに気がつきさえすれば良いのです。（とは言うものの仲々気付けないもので、言葉の上で自我は存在しないなどと理解しても自分が無意識で歩いている事は自覚できない。(たった今、この文章を読んでいるのがあなた自身であることは自覚していなかったでしょう？）なにしろそれを自覚する自我が無い事が要点なのだからややこしい。いまわの際の

釈尊が「人の言葉を信じるな。自分で学ベ」と言い残したのはきわめて象徴的だったと言えますーーーーーあるいは何かのたとえ話しで解らせる事もできる。ここから仏教独特の行とか方便と呼ばれる教法が出てきた訳です。それらは皆、

釈尊の機知、その場の情況に即した発想から出て来たものだったのですが、言葉を介さずに無我、無私を教えるコツを掴むには梵天ではなく多少の時間が必要だった訳でしょう。しかし、臨機応変、言葉を介在させずに教えられた無我の教え(註参照)は、言葉として伝えられて書残される事もなく、当然のことながら教典にも登場して来なかった。＝だからこそ以心伝心や禅の伝統が起らざるを得なかった訳です。（梵天の話を書いた仏伝の作者は、この無私無我の構造を知らなかった＝つまり、仏教徒ではなく単に文章力にたけたバラモン僧であったと言う事です）

（註）このリンクにある極めて珍らしい例外的記述はアーガマ経からの話ですが、実はここで全く自我を出す事無く無条件に追従して歩く事が教えられています。しかし、それについての説明は従弟のアナンダにすら告げられていません。（無意識に歩く事が肝心で、その理由とか説明は全く必要ない雑念である＝無意識で歩ける＝それはダルマが歩かせているのだから）

つまり仏教が目射すのは無私になってダルマと合―することで得られる完璧な調和です。

God and Heaven

The most fundamental difference of the western God and the eastern Heaven is, the one imagined in a brain (modeled from such as the Gilgamesh Myth) or the one observed as the natural phenomenon.   So that there could be a complaint to someone who created the idea of western God, why the Evil was also created ?  And there, the matter is whether you believe its story or not.  Unless you believe it, it doesn’t exists.  

In contrast, as everybody in the east can see, the Heaven or the Nature is existing even before the human being or the universe was created.  Whether it was believed or not, it is a real existance to anybody.    Therefore, they knew the utterly evil earthquake, tsunami, volcano etc are a part of the nature.   (If the people has  ever encountered those utmost power of the nature, they become aware, they have to live with this without making useless complaint. )   So, that is how those evil were accepted as their part of the destiny.   The system or the existence of those phenomena all together IS the existence of which the Buddhists calles the Dharma, or the Taoist calles Heaven.   The strange phenomenon is, some profound Zennists are able to communicate with this Heaven or Dharma.   (save, other than a nuts)   😀

First Reiwa (令和) Sky

So, this is the sunrise (over the roof) 1st of April 2019  06:18 ( = British Summer time 07:18) by Zeiss 18mm F3.5 on Nikon 850

And this is the same sky but a minuets before of the top photo, taken by 110 Pentax 24mm on Nikon Z7   (It seems Zeiss lens showed much clear image —– of course, 110 lens costed me only few pounds as a junk, in contrast Zeiss was £800 even for a second-hand = be humble, don’t expect too much)    😀

PS : Looking around the Net-sphere, it seemed that the news of naming the new era in Japan took so much attention from all over the world.   The tradition to name the Era originally came from Han dynasty of China though,  like most of the culture in China it ceased to exist under the communist rule.  (So that the young Chinese except Taiwanese, even can not read their own classic literature like Laozi 老子, Confucius 孔子 — let alone to understand them)   Yet still, as nearly 1/4 of world population is Chinese, some of them might have studied classic, hence able to read the “Chinese” character 令和 of which the meaning is more or less the same to us .   (Some character’s meaning is quite different between Chinese and Japanese = such as for flowers, Chinese use 華 , Japanese use 花 but for Chinese this letter 花 mean mor like a lot of mess, therefore 花子 in China mean a beggar wearing tattered rug. — without knowing this, quite few Japanese girl got their name Hanako 花子 ! )

The meaning of the character 令 is “telling or announcing” = so that, with an additional 金 (metal) to its left hand side, like this 鈴 it’s become “Bell”

And the 和 mean “come together or harmonize”  so that a word 平和 mean peace ( 平mean “flat or plain”) = Everybody come together in harmony” is a Peace.

Therefore, 令和 Rei Wa mean, Calling a Harmony  or Telling, be in Peace”.  (May be not as strong as “Shut-up, you the Devil”)   😀     (By the way, officially Reiwa starts on the 1st of may, coinciding with the new Emperor to take the throne.   This, one month ahead schedule was for the people to prepare such as for printing the calendar.)

Few more photos of last Heisei days

I’m living in England though, still it is the last moment of Heisei Era for me.

I’m a Japanese, yet I’m more like a spooky kind than an Anime generation.    And never be a Gamer of Gandam kind.

Or a dirty old man ? —– It’s quite a questionable.  

Then I found, the local Iceland shop was closed. —– I don’t think it’s anything to do with the end of era in Japan.  (Don’t you think, this is THE good lens = instantly giving 50 years old atmosphere to the picture !)   😀

And found that the Small White Elephant Cafe was also closed. (Before the end of financial year ?)

Those photos were taken by the homemade ZM2 lens or Pentax 110 24mm F2.8 lens on the Nikon Z7.

On the end Japan got their new name of the era as Reiwa (令和) —– long live to them.    🙂   🙂   🙂

Japanese New Era is coming

Well well, not for tomorrow’s April fool, but Japan is going to have the new name of the Era for coming new Emperor.    Japanese calendar system has the name of each Era with each Emperor’s throne.  Which is the continuing tradition of the past 2500 years, started on the time of the legend of Emperor  Jinmu.  So that the coming new Emperor Naruhito is its 256th Emperor.  = in other words, the current Emperor Akihito’s (He is going to cede the throne to his son Naruhito on 1st of May)  Heisei Era will end tomorrow.  (I remember the day, when I went to see the wedding parade of Prince Akihito and his bride, Michiko in their hose drawn coach. — I think I was a secondary school boy then) 

—– anyhow, on this last day, I should clear the stacked photos of Heisei while it is still in its era.

On the end Japan got their new name of the era as Reiwa (令和) —– long live to them.    🙂   🙂   🙂

Be Natural (2)

There said to be a Japanese TV program by NHK (say Japanese BBC) asking the questions to AI.   One of the question was “How to make the people healthy”

The answer was “Close the Hospital”

TV production team searched all over Japan and found a city who closed down their hospital years ago because of their financial difficulty. (In fact, that city, Yubari in Hokkaido Japan has been bankrupted due to the dwindling revenue caused by the reduced local population.) —– Yubari used to have a population of 120,000 = bustling big coal mining city though, once the coal mine was closed, there was no other industry.   People, who can, moved out look for the job somewhere else.

So that, the people remained (about 8000 now) was the old ex-miners, fighting to survive in the harsh northern climate. —– Still, contrary to your expectation, the people is not having such miserable life.   Far from it, ex-miner is tough, taking their life literally in their hand.   As there is no carer service kind of help from the bankrupted local government, all those people is doing everything by themselves, even to clear the snow from the roof (otherwise the house would be crushed)   Even 90 years old man is actively on the front line of own life = there is no choice, got to be healthy. 

So, this was what the answer of AI meant.     When people need and have to do, they can, live, naturally with their full health.   (It’s mean, without having unneccessary intervention of so-called “Medication”(which is making money by making people ill) people can have much healthier life which cost nothing. —– this is the natural life.)

Useless thought — is it ?

While boiling the eggs, I suddenly heard a noise “Pang”.   I knew it must be a noise of the egg cracked, as time to time they do.   When I checked them, I found an egg popped open a part of its shell, like a submarine opened his hatch = a well made round hole. —– I’ve seen hundreds of the cracked egg when they were boiled “in my life” though, I never seen the Egg Submarine opened his hatch. = this is THE first event ever I encountered and witnessed in my whole life.    is it ? ? ?  —– So, what’s the matter ? 

———- Then I realized, this is the serious identity crisis case.  It would shake the foundation of the cause or justification of me to blog here. —– How and why this blog started ?  = This blog / Yoshizen started as a talking post to explain my theory, that is,  The Zen is not for talking or thinking but to DO.  This theory was conceived through my own experience of doing,experience of doing, and from many stories how the one could achieve his skill by just doing it many years kind, and the old say, such as even Rain drops carve the rock kind together with the very simple facts that the most of Buddhists sects are having their practice to repeat doing the same action.

—– So far, I think I succeeded to explain those matter by explaining them as the function of our brain / Amigdara. 

But, what about this instant case / Open hatched Egg ?     What this egg to do with Zen ? —– Quite few of the posts here are showing a kind of activity, demonstrating the simple, repetitive work for “Making something” also showing the sample of the way of utterly free thinking.  (why not approach, such as to use a spray can as a barrel of a macro lens or a discarded drink-can can be made a good sculpture etc. )

But is the Open Hatched Egg to do anything with the Zen ? = nothing.  Why not ? (Everything is the only an occasion in the life = have you ever seen any of two eggs cracked and showing exactly the same pattern ? —– Does the Zen Blog got to have a special big topics to talk ?  —– am I assigned to deal with such heavy role ?  —– who the hell yoshizen is ? = It must be a joke = can not be such ostentatious matter here.  it’s just a small free blog.  —– What an useless thought I got here.     😀

Be Natural

Even after completely immersed in the so-called civilization and the forefront of the medical technology, we still have the same body, which got million years old natural reaction to the situation.   When you were bitten by a mosquito or flea kind, you feel itchy and you scratch the skin = because your body needs the poison from insect to be dispersed, and decomposed.   When you caught cold, why you cough or sneeze, because your throat want something odd in there to be blown-out and in effect, the germ or virus may be removed.   So does the nose, started to snot to wash off there.  It is natural and that is what you are in ill.   You have to be patient  few days.  As that is what patience mean.    😀   ( But in case of appendicitis kind, go to doctor at once.)

Still people may want to stop those symptoms, so the pharmaceutical co. to cash in by selling the so-called medicine. —– but our body is naturally reacting to show those symptoms.  They are the indicator of the situation.  So that, to suppressing those symptoms, those medicine interfere our own resistance of the body.   And it’s tampering our immune system by destroying the bacterial balance in our guts (so-called guts flora).   Remember, we human being started to use those artificial medication only this modern era.   The more we use those medicine (chemical) the more we lose our natural balance (and get ill) = The more often you go to hospital, the more you pick up germ from other patient = and get ill.   Very funny.   😀

We’ve been made to believe that better to eat so-called healthy food etc, such as fresh vegetable or salad kind.      Yet strangely, our body can’t digest those raw vegetables.    Even worse, we eat those salad with salad oil.    The funny things were, those salad oil are much more unhealthier than a butter on a bread.     The food co. selling those salad oil saying they are healthy vegetable oil though, in reality, those so-called vegetable oil was extracted from such as rape seed, soy been etc (mostly cheapest palm oil)  using poisonous organic solvent, hexane and  to remove the hexane, the oil has to be processed under quite high temperature to evaporate hexane.    And while those oil was heated to high temperature, a byproduct, trance fatty acid was produced in the oil which is impossible to remove.   

Till decade ago, we were made to believe that the margarine made out of the vegetable oil is healthier than the animal butter though, suddenly the story was changed when people became aware of  those trans fatty acid in a margarine, people stopped to buy those margarine.    But in fact, salad oil contain more trans fatty acid than in a margarine.   Its mean, just eat the same old butter made out of animal milk is far more healthIer as we have been eating thousand of years.    And, eating those traditional food like our ancestor in those hundreds of years, is far  more natural to our human body.  

So, in general, it is better not to believe the sweet words of Company’s CM. = They just want to make money. —– And in my case, I’m not seeing any CM as I don’t have TV anyway, nor buying salad vegetables as I eat them cooked (mostly boiled) and buy no oil at all (except chinese chilly oil).   I’m not minding “healthy” kind of notion but simply spending minimum amount of money = so-called mean.  Hence I don’t get ill ( = No need of medicine = no chemical) nor creating a havoc by braking the body’s natural balance.

(There is the most interesting story or fact in the one of Japanese prefecture, Nagano = their people is showing the highest longevity in Japan, yet having least number of doctors par population, and only costing 2/3 of medical care — still consume twice amount of salt in comparison, since they don’t have a sea = all the fish they can get was salted.)   😀    This fact signifies that the dogma doesn’t work = Dogma might be invented 30 years ago, but our body and its physiology is working million years long successfully.

(That is the beauty to live with the natural law of which the Buddhists call Dharma = as Dharma having its own equilibrium or so-called harmony within, there is no contradiction or break-down of the system.  So that, I only need to follow my nature without doing anything artificial.)  (And as I don’t drink, smoke or eat chocolate or meet with fancy ladies,  I use the leftover money to buy a fancy camera —– my not looks very natural though it wouldn’t harm anybody nor myself but making quite a fun.  This life style is natural to me. = I’m not living in any “ism” or ideology such as “eco” “veganism” kind = those ideas are all made-up in the imagination, even a delusion. )    😀

Acacia seed pod — (1.5′ over 40 cm big)

While walking on the street, I found huge seed pod of Acacia.  May be no one would give a doubt that Acacia is a kind of bean.   Still, not so many people expect to see their seed pod in such a size.

I said huge though, this is not the largest I’ve ever seen.   I’ve seen the one got nearly 3′ / 90 cm big in Taiwan of which local people calls the Sword bean.  (On the photo, you can see the size in comparison to the Mangetout bean)  Still the size of the bean itself is even smaller than a soy bean. —– so, it creates a question why this Acacia seed pod evolved into such a size ?   In Africa where the tree was originated, the biggest enemy was a Giraffe kind.  If the seed was eaten by them before the seed matured, all the effort of Acacia became in vain.  But the grown up dry seed and the pod may not invite any animal who could spread the seeds away from the parent’s place.  —– What are they doing  ? ? ?

—– Nature must have much wiser idea than me.   😀
