Healthy eating – Paradox

I don’t have any ism other than a habit in my character which is a kind of cleanness = loath to touch anything filthy or dubious = originated from Japanese Shinto. I wash my hair just with a water = use a shampoo may be less than once in a month. I hate to expose my skin to dubious chemical more than a dust in my room.

But I eat something a vegetable in the Brassicaceae family is a matter of my taste = not a kind of healthy concern or any ism. And eating frozen sprouts instead of flesh broccoli or daikon etc, was, I’m just lazy. (You may disappointed to see me not so keen = = = Here is a wise rule, this is the problem of the mind = “If you are too serious, you tend to fail / if your mind was stuck, you loose the ability” —–> Make eating it to almost a unconscious habit which origin was forgotten = = = It IS the same, “If you are too serious / wary too much of your health = you became ill. — This paradox is common with Zen Buddhism !)

I was eating boiled sprouts with salad cream with the same laziness. Once I bought a “light” type salad cream then noticed that such product was something unnaturally plasticky and realised that to make a similar textured, tasted product without using original ingredients, there must be a lots of dubious chemicals and the ingredients were used for a factory production.

Basically, the western food life is dreadful. Eating looks healthy whole grain bread but with animal originated fat (butter) — even worse with trance fatty acid “Margarine” etc etc. —– So, I don’t buy processed food. (Don’t ask me Miso, Suger etc were not processed food ?)

Instead to use salad cream I’m making Miso based Paste = Miso, Chinese Chilli bean Sauce, pinch of Sugar and a bit of Vinegar —–> mix together. (I hope those products were produced in traditional way without using dubious chemicals) (Am I asking too much or ignorant ?)

The paste I made here was also good for other cooking such as Oka-kurage, boiled Daikon etc. —– may be I should make a lot and keep it in a jar for a quick serve to each breakfast = may be safe to keep for a week or two.

Before we start to talk about Eco, Health issue etc, we better look around and think deep. = In order to make a 16 years old Swedish girl who said that she dosen’t want to pollute the air by jet flight, to appear the UN, while 4 times more jet journeys were needed for her staff and her father to travel !

While this girl accusing Japan etc for their coal burning power station, making an exception of China who is the scond largest poluter by their coal burning, saying that they ARE the developping country. (Are they = who said so ? ) We need to see the truth behind the hypocritical farce. And see who is behind her campaign.

That’s what we call deceptive performance, in another word, fraud. 😀

W Lens-B

Thanks to the advancement of the technology and the use of the image recognition system etc, alongside the advancement of the optical design x optical plastic = we may find many usable aspherical lens in many devices.

So, I got a plastic lens and I made yet another W lens for my camera. —– using the same idea of 2 cutted half lenses put together.

The effect was more or less the same to W Lens-A but the bokeh is a bit more prominent.

Basically those lenses were designed for omnifocus, yet still a close-up extension ring works well. (omnifocus works only within a limit) 😀

Whether you like them or not I don’t care. I’m quite happy with them because, I feel that the image is much closer to what I’m living with. 😀

.

W 1/2 lens

Here, [W] didn’t mean 2 indivisual lens. = Both of the half cutted lens. Ideally, the soft image should have the nice halo around the sharp core image —– if there was no sharp core image, it was just an obscure bad lens image. = So, how about the one lens was divided into two and the one half makes focused image and the other was making out of focus bokeh on the same one picture ?

From a Kodak (one time use ) Fun camera, the lens panell was cutted-out.

Cut an ordinary lens to optically functioning 2 separate half was not very easy. So, I did it with disposable (one time use) camera’s lens. = Cut it into half (Photo left) and mounted the one half to normal position and the other half to out of focus position (Photo middle). —– (Then I noticed that the lens I experimented makes rather nasty ring bokeh when it was out of focus —– I needed to search more.)

Photo Left was taken by the original single lens. Photo right was done by the W lens.

This W lens is efectively a w-focus lens. I experimented many w-focus image done by double exposure, or lens shift. But here I took a drastic approach to use cutted two halves lenses. —– I think, it wasn’t too bad idea. The work I took was rather awkward though on the end it was well rewarded. ( = I think —– anyhow, I got prenty one time use camera junk to try again and again 😀 )

Owara Kaze-no-Bon / 風の盆

or, yet another Bon-Odori = annual dancing fest’ in Toyama-city, Ishikawa

Yatsuo in Toyama city situated 100 km north east of Kyoto.

Kaze no Bon is a Japanese festival held every year from September 1 to 3 in Yatsuo, Toyama, Japan. Kaze-no-Bon literally translates to “Bon Dance of the Wind.” This festival, having a history of about 300 years, is recently becoming a popular tourist attraction to the otherwise sparsely populated mountain area. Wikipedia

Unlike well known Awa-odori which originated from far remoted Tosa in Shikoku island, Toyama’s Kaze-no-Bon dance is more elegant. (Though, I myself is more familier with Samba)

Our vision — Photo image

This is a part of the previous post —– as I found it got very important point in the aspect of Zen (See — feel — think — what is real — truth) not only in Photography.

Rather fragile looking Scabious —– the lens showed peculiar depth of field image, and the size of back bokeh is gorgeous.

(But have you ever seen such bokeh image in nature ? —– they exists only in the photographic image = they are not real, neither your eyes are telling the truth —– So, how can you tell that the photography IS the faithful copy of the real, without knowing your own eyes could not tell what is real.) 😀

(For example, we are not seeing square building, since we got fish-eye vision as our eyes are round ball, so that, our brain is reconstructing the image following the stereotype that the building is straight = therefore, the photo of the building has to be square ! —– So, how can you tell that the photo of the building is faithful copy of the real building, = you see what I mean.)

ヨシ禅ブログ要約

これは「仏教の行と大脳生理」のポストに付いたコメントのやり取りで言い得て妙だと=再録に至った次第

Spiritualism | Yoshizen’s Blog said, on April 21, 2019 at 19:00(Edit)

The Moon of 15th August

As I said, in the old Moon calender 15th August is always full moon. So, to have a full moon tonight was just a coincidence and I found her behind a tree at rather late 22:00.

—– I took the pictures of the full moon many times, using Tamron SP 500 mm lens. But I didn’t want to do the same on this time, so took a picture of her with a kind of ordinary lens = Leiz Elmarit P 50 mm F 2.8 projection lens (costed me £1) modified to use on the Nikon Z camera, because, it was not a very sexy image with fuzzy lens. —– And after I open a photo on a PC screen, I noticed that there was a reflection of my room on the window glass = Oh, no, I should have put light off. How careless I was. The moon of 15th August has gone and we never have another chance for re-take. (Next full moon is not the 15th August one) We have only one life.

.

15th of August

In the old moon calender 15th August has always full moon. And this is the day when the last World War was ended. So, there was a memorial ceremony for the 3 million war dead attended by the Japanese Emperor and the Empress. (Photo above right)

And it is often the time when Japan has a visiting typhoon. (Photo left)

Seemingly Japan was no exception, thanks to the climate change and having an extreme hot summer as well, making a record 40.7 degree C at northern Japan, Yamagata.

Poor fellow Japanese. —— Thenks goodness, I’m away.

Hibiscus

When you hear the name Hibiscus, you may imagine a red flower in a travel brochure of tropical island. Yet still, a kind of flowers belong to Hibiscus group = in the Malvaceae family is amazingly common and flowering everywhere.

This is a Hollyhocks. (seems to be Althaea rosea)

—– incidentally, this plant is a sister of Marshmallow (Yes, that soft white sweets) = the sweets used to be made using a sap from the roots of the Marshmallow.

And this one seems Hibiscus synacus.

But this one seems to be a very different garden valiety though, still pretty like a Hibiscus.

And you may remember this small flower in a grass patch, like a weed desperately clinging to the ground. Still, this one belongs to the Hibiscus family.

It’s somewhat interesting to think about that what sort of the fate or history pushed this plant to cling and survived on a rather poor dry ground ? —– Was that only a niche she found ? (We all knows, life is hard — she must be a rather lucky one, as she has achieved to make a flower at least !) —– by the way, did you know that the Hibiscus plant is Cannivorous = in the night, their stigma catch and strangulates a small insct and suck their body fluid out. = That’s what I heard, but not know the truth.

NZ – B – lens

I wrote about NZ lens more than a year ago. Since then I haven’t go out with that lens often. Big bright lens is too big to carry in my pocket.

So, only the front element was recycled then. But, how about many other lenses ? In that 18~200 mm Nikon Zoom lens, there were 3 more groups of glasses were used. = When I tested, I found that the third group was fit to the purpose straight. = easy to make-up as a usable optics — I mean, for my purpose. (Left top is USM / Silentwave motor and the D was the diverging lens I used for an experiment “Retrofocus” as the front element.)

So, the third group glass together with its sliding barrel was just glued to the Nikon-Z mount ring. In this structure, the movement of the glass makes a focus from infinity to x0.6.

As you might have guest, this lens wouldn’t give any clear sharp image. = still, may suit for some subject. Wait and see. 😀 ( I’m serious)
