How weird ! ? ? ? — Where the Ghost came from ?

While checking the photo taken by motorized Canon FD 50mm lens,

I found that those photos were utterly odd.

Those two were the consecutive photos, next to each other.  Though, 

the data recorded was — the left photo = A0452 , 4.2MB / Right photo

= A0453, 3.6MB and strangely  both were taken 14:29:44 (= exactly the

same time — of course, on the same 44th second, my 5D could have shot 

5 frames though the camera has been set to shoot only a single frame).  

What odd of those photos were —– obviously the camera shot the same 

flowers, yet they don’t look the same. = some flowers were stationed 

still, looks not exactly the same.  If all the flowers in the right photo

really existed on front of the lens, why they were not in the left photo.

And if the left photo was the real one, where all those additional flowers

= ghost images came from.  There was no similar image on any of the

preceding shot = no possibility of the memory mix-up in the camera.

If you download each photo and see each of them by alternately clicking 

next and back again = you can see which flowers keep the same position

and which flowers appeared and disappeared.  —– ? ? ? —– How wierd ?

How those flowers could disappear.   Were they existed there at all ?

Have you seen like this ?  Such happening was the first ever in my life

= the spooky images I never encountered before.   

Of course, I didn’t manipulate the photo at all (a bit brightened though) 

and the photo wasn’t a copy of the other.  —– Could anybody explain,

was that caused by the camera’s malfunction or else ? — But how ? ? ?

Please give me your opinion.

Magnolia – 2015 (B)

This Magnolia was an utterly unexpected discoverly.  And beyond of my knowledge

and imagination — came from where or if it was a garden variety, how it was

created from which parents ? ? ?  

She is a tall tree and the flower is huge = as big as a Magnolia Grandiflora

 ( even 10″~12″ ) still, flowering long before the leaves was coming out

= closer to the Kobus but not Grandiflora.

In closer look I wonder if they are in fact a kind of invertebrate from the sea ?

—– You know what I feel and that was why I wanted to create fuzzy image.  🙂

Lens used was Canon EF Macro 100mm F2.8 and Tamron 500mm Mirror F8

on Canon 5D Mk-3.   (Some fuzzy pictures were taken by Homemade Lens.  🙂  )

Singing Bowl

After the post of Wind-Bell I got a call from a person who said that she got

genuine Japanese glass Fuurin. “Oh, marvellous!”—– It’s said to have come

from a Net-shopping with a help of her Japanese friend.

“The sound is exquisite, its ethereal resonance suck you into the infinite depth

of space!” “How extraordinary!”— and she said that she got a singing bowl

from Tibet too which sound even deeper and draw us into deep meditative state.

—– though, —– What can I say ? ? ? —– should I say “Congratulation” for her

able to get hold genuine article ?

Or should I praise her keen effort to seek a genuine sound ? —– ? ? ?

Or should I flirt her that her spirit will reach higher awareness soon.

It may not fare to write here like this because soon she will read this and might feel

offended though, this is not just her personal phenomenon but this is the wide-

spread misconception among those who, so-called “spiritually awaken” — or

New Age kind of people.

As a matter of fact, it is not easy to see what they are after. (Fashion ?  Snobbism ?)

Are they really believing that they can get hold the Cosmic Power through a

Crystal they bought ? —– Are they believing that to keep a particular article, made

her to posses its myth and the understanding ?  (It’s called Fetisizm Sir/Mme !)

In this area, there are three levels of  misconception.  

1) Believing that the object has its own power. (Like a Crystal power)

2) Or believe the function of its object would solve the problem.

(Like an exercise machine — the matter is not what the machine is but your act.)

3) With its object, the one can imagine that he or she suddenly acquire the truth.

(Like a “Special Mantra” “Book of ancient wisdom” kind. Chanting  O~~~~~rm !)

(— like seeing a film, made a person to believe “Be force with ME” ? )

Unfortunately, none of those kind are in the world. If anybody selling, it’s a fraud.

Yes, I did said that the sound draw a mind into meditative state and this IS the

state of Void.    This is true, — you try test = what you found?   Did your brain

configure any notion out of tinkling sound ?

I don’t think so = nothing there because nothing else of pure sound is there.

But in this Void what could be discovered ?   It is the question to be a Buddhist.

—– To a non Buddhist, Void or a sound of Fuurin or Singing Bowl wouldn’t make

any meaning other than A sound.   Though, to a Buddhist who seeks nothing,

this Void opens the eyes to see the Void.  (I said, “seeks nothing”)

—– How come ? = our brain takes High-pitched tone as a sign of danger, hence

our brain activities were suddenly silenced and all the perceptions were

concentrated to pick-up further sign.  — even though our higher brain did know

that the tinkling sound was mere Wind Bell and nothing to worry about at all, still,

the emotional region / limbic system and all the sensory receptors were tentioned.

= This combination : completely blank-out Thinking activities and the

completely open / absolutely passive perception is very close to the state of Zen,

and it was the base of the Clear Eyes.   (Then, to see WHAT is depend on the person 

— some will see the enlightenment, but some see nothing.

— you can buy Singing Bowl but not necessary the Enlightenment.)  

And this is THE Singing Bowl ! —– yes it sounds more or less the same to Tibetan

Singing Bowl.

(It’s my cooking pan. = the handle was just unscrewed that’s all, and still sound nice !

— cooking pan wouldn’t make any rice sound.  But it would sound just Gong !   :-D)

—– What’s wrong with this ?          Do you still clinging to the Tibetan Bowl ?

Camera shake

(This image above was shot by tri-color pinhole and 10 second exposure. )

Among the photographers in the net-sphere,  Karen McRae of “Draw and Shoot” 

must be the master shaker of the camera.   Not only incredibly precise macro

photography, she covers fantastic landscape, some of them were mixed with

subtle camera shake, multiple-exposure, layard images etc.

(I strongly recommend you to visit her site and see them by yourself !)

Her effective use of camera movement for the sake of creative imaging, such

subtle blur of the image, showed not only the movement but also a

flow of the time, depth in our time and space =

even a feeling being in the spiritual infinity.

(I’ve been trying to learn and simulate her movement of the camera,

while calling them “Karenisque Photography” — I succeeded very little. )

(The trace of the light while camera has been shaken = 10 second exposure here)

( While try to copy the movement of her photo, I realised that she must have

exposed the camera even minutes long — with 10s of test shots if not hundreds.)

—– On her photo of ” lingeringlights 1.jpg ” = camera might be held and exposed

even 30 second long.

But, the use camera shake to the everyday objects, = it become clear, not only 

the choice of the subject but also the lighting (weather / cloud) overall darkness

become crucial. —– otherwise, the photo become just a mess.  🙂

Karen’s use of camera movement was very complexed = not only the overall movement,

but also a combination of a follow-shoot (such as to keep aiming to one subject while

moving in a car) the background would be totally blurred  but the aimed subject would

maintain less blurred image. = still, it’s just a technique.  

The matter is the end result. = and she’s been creating utterly puzzling images. =

I couldn’t guess what she did it —– So, I described it a “Magic”.   🙂

Winter Cherry for New Year

 

First Post for this New Year, I was thinking to put photo of Sunrise or

yet another New Year’s cooking ? —– but I’ve got bored with Sunrise, seen  

from my window,  and the cooking doesn’t necessary to be for the first day.  

( though, I’m not such keen, travel to a beach just to see sunrise. —– Do you 

know some people travel as far as an island in the south Pacific, just next to

 the International Date Line, to see the earliest sunrise in the World ! —– so,

 the Japanese TV goes there as well.    And Air Companies in Japan operating

handful flights to see the first sunrise above the clouds !

Such as this one. — but what a shoddy video. )  

So, I decided to put sweet images of the (That !) Winter Cherry Flowers.

Beautiful soft Bokeh was created by Zeiss Planar 50mm F1.4 T* with and

without Ultra heavy Proxer out of a TV zoom lens.  (In this instance, instead

of 85mm lens like before, I used 50mm lens, because I wanted to have a bit

wider view though, 50mm lens has not as smooth Bokeh like 85mm lens.)

 

 

Those flowers were the other tree standing next — a bit narrower flower petals,

still flowers in the winter = it’s mean, the gardener in charge with those trees

did intentionally planted those Winter Cherry here.

(so, the tree was not a fleak, but the established winter variety.)

(It seems, the best bloom was about a week ago)

Still, it’s a view to make our mouth shut — it’s mean, either you follow

or you were rejected by them.  (Nothing between.  No argument with the Nature.)

Funeral Party (of Space Hijackers)

On the Halloween night, an Anarchist group Space Hijackers had their own funeral.

Is it really mean the end of their organization or it was just another ploy to attract

party goers, are waited to be seen. (They might  say, Goodness, We were resurrected.)

Anyway, what ever the excuse, it was a good busy party.  (Though, with rather slow

music, I did little dancing and spent most of the time photographing the people.

—– on the big party, DJ doesn’t go to hard-core = they do soft focus too.  😀  )

Photo was taken by my  two-element homemade lens.  (Originally a small  plastic lens

came from a toy camera and its 27 mm focal length was extended by a short-eye-sighted

specs lens from Hoya.  It’s called Retrofocus Lens design and the focal length now is

38 mm which enabled the lens to be used on the DSLR.)   I like this soft focus lens

—– but, it has no control.  And almost all blind shooting. (No use of finder)

Still, pocket sized flash-light with umbrella worked pretty well.  I like it. 

I’m not putting caption to each photo.   They are as it looks.  

And you must know your own photo. = You can Copy if you like.

Some familiar faces are the old members of Hijackers and they do

all the work and DJ as well.

The members who is wearing red pants can get in free = so, they exposed theirs.  😀

M m m m m m m m — some are quite pretty !

BTW, if you are not happy with those fuzzy images,  you’ve bumped to the wrong man.

You should have asked your friend’s iPhone to have your own photo taken.

The photos were taken by the lens I made myself = (and I’m qualified to do this kind. )

They were aimed to be fuzzy. ( fuzzy but omnifocus = thanks, no need to focus.)

Photo is for a fun (of myself) = if you ask me serious business, I have to charge !  😀

PS :  Other photographer wondered the lighting technique, how they were done ? =

It was not an ordinary flash-lighting, nor white plastic cap kind or bounce flash.

It was a handheld lighting of a flash with small umbrella ( — see the photo.)

(Umbrella was an one-off special made and the support frame was my handmade.)

Yet more Impressionists Photos (2)-A

The pictures in this post were also taken by the 3rd version of  

Concentric Double Density Pinhole which was the same one I used

for the previous post.  And the one giving the most drastic Bokhe.

Outer hole is 1 mm though the center Pinhole was comparatively large and

the material filling the gap is rather clear plastic. (it was a cap of yogurt .  🙂 )  

So that, it wouldn’t give so much details of the subject.

So to say, they are somewhat the equivalent of rough oil paintings by large blush.

So, the use of this Pinhole is a matter of the taste and the subject.

= Sometime it creates nice picture but not always.  😀

A Field by a Pinhole

A week after the previous post, the flowers in the same field has almost gone.

When there is no distinctive color pattern, the Double Density Pinhole is not

suit for a photo, as it’s image become just an incomprehensible murky blob 

though,  never mind this is the 666th post in this blog ! 

A belief, the world to be a clear, comprehensible place may not be true.

Neither photo necessary shows  clear image. (It still a photo !  Why not. )

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM  🙂

PS :  To advocate the Pinhole Photography general,  Not most of the

Pinhole photo is such bad,  I’ll show you the images made by

the ordinary ( one small simple ) Pinhole. 

 But the trouble of the ordinary pinhole photo was that, they are only the Photo

of  un-sharp. = nothing other than that inadequacy and never showed any other

positive value. —– That’s why I’ve put yet another pinhole around the center

pinhole  to make Concentric Double Density Pinhole,  in order to achieve the 

Impressionist’s Painting like effect.)

Karenisque Meadow – 3

Previous post “Karenisque Meadow – 2”  was shot by the Homemade Lens with

its unique soft halo.   But, of course Karen was not using such lens and the

softness of her picture was created by its blurr and a bit of tinkering —– it’s

mean the original photo has to be shot by a sharp lens.

So, this is a normal shot of desolated flower meadow.

(Lens was pretty sharp Leitz Elmarit 35 mm F2.8 on Canon 5D Mk-III)

Then during the exposure, whole camera was intentionally shaken to

make a picture blurred. (Here, Softness was made using Google Picasa.)

As a water painting like image,  those blurred pictures aren’t too bad.  

I like Opal like flaky color though, they are no way near to Karen’s image.

There is no depth and the atmospheric air here which I have to work further.   🙂  

(Original photo has to be a good landscape picture with the air of depth.  =

Blur or softness may give an etherly touch though, softness alone wouldn’t

make a good photo, and the digital manipulation makes  the image “Graphical”

= remote from Photograph.)

Greenwich Park — and the Flowers

Next to the the pond, a patch of meadow (?) was created —– quite colorful

though, they were not a kind of seedling plants,  so  it may not for the

birds but purely for ornamental purpose, I think. 

Again this is the gorgeous set up for the fuzzy images.

No decent subtleness here,  just an orgy of rampant color !

Densely planted flower circle prevented me to see or take picture

in close proximity —– I have no idea what this flower was.  

Still, I like this flowers attitude “Standing out, firm”   🙂

In fact, this is the outside of the park = a corner of  Blackheath.

This  is a puzzling field.   If it was in Spain, it would be a Campo de Faria kind

though I never seen such things there.  The place was left as if  nobody want to

touch. —– someone said, it was a mass-grave for the Black Death time,  

hence the name Blackheath. —– Quite convincing.
