Is MUSHIN same as Thoughtless ?

Well, it is not about a Justice / Punishment from the heaven but about the mind-set.

These days our topics were often related to the Riot, and there was an interesting question.

“Wasn’t the mind-set of [senseless] [thoughtless] behaviour, same to the Zen

Buddhist’s [Mushin]. —– What makes the difference between them ? ? ? “

—– in fact, someone who put a comment to the previous post had the same thinking.

And this question has so many implication and the facets.

—– Once, Pablo Picasso said “ Keep drawing like a child is the hardest things in the Art”

—– Then, “what is the difference between [Innocence] or [Ignorance] to the [Mushin] ?  “

May be the easiest answer to this question is, just whack the person shouting “Idiot” —– really ?

There was an interesting story among the legend of the Sword Masters.

In the Samurai era, top sword-man was roving around the country seeking the contest-match

against each other, in order to achieve the record / reputation. ( And the winner was invited to

give a lesson to the local Lord receiving good reward)

Then, someone got an idea of plank, dressed up an ignorant peasant as a respectable

samurai, claiming that this is the supreme sword-master, and challenging top local

sword-master.

On the match, the peasant was just standing facing real master just having his sword down.

As the peasant had a slightest idea of what the sword-mastery is, he was just standing still.

The challenged was the master who knows everything —– but as the opponent seemed to

standing utterly defenceless —– almost like an idiot (in fact he was an idiot) it made the master

utterly confused.  —– no such things could happen here.   Otherwise it must be a ploy to make

the master wrong-foot = this man must be a real sword-master and able to kill him instant.

—– it was what the master felt.  (To his eyes, the peasant’s utter ignorant appearance, not even

recognize him was seen as the ultimate Mushin only possessed by a supream sword-master  😀 )

Then, the master throw his sword away, and kneel down for begging his life.

The pair prankster succeeded all the contest-match in the same way.

But, after a while, the peasant started to wonder why those famous masters just give up and

kneel down to him.   And interested in to use the sword, as he mistook that he is in deed a

strong sword-master and able to kill the opponent.

So that, on the next match, peasant break a stillness and showed a slight sign of intention.

Then, the challenged sword-master instantly reacted to this sign, sway the body to other

direction and cut the peasant into two pieces.    (The End   😀  )

It is true, even a Zen Master has used a metaphor of the mind of small child

to describe the Mushin and a state of mind of Jizai.

And in the Buddhist’s arguments about the universality / inclusiveness of the Mahayana stance,

this matter —– What is the distinction between [Innocence, Ignorance, Senseless,

Thoughtless] to the [Mushin] is some time mixed-up.

As a matter of fact, when it is convenient, this kind of metaphor has been often used though,

[The Mushin] is a very specific, peculiar state of the mind, nothing similar to any of

those mind.  Not just the matter of inclusiveness of the Mahayana, but also the confusion of the

[ What is the Buddhist’s mind] ( before this, What is the Buddhist ? —– there are all sorts of the

Buddhist exists —– Such as to enjoy the life having the eyes to appreciate peaceful nature which

gave a feeling of the liberated mind = could be perfectly the life and the mind of a Buddhist)

—– it has been left out of strict argument.

But in strict term, the Mushin is the state of the mind, which only occurs when our

brain ceased to operate to categorising and reconfiguring the notion. —– yet

able to react to incoming stimulant.

—– In practice, this state of mind can be reached only through the long long repeated

practice which wear out those active, intentional activities of the brain

= thinking process.

And very similar to the treatment of an allergy, those practice also wear out the basic

desire and the emotional reaction = So that, the state of the Mind [ Mind of No-Mind]

= [Mushin] is only strict to [Purely the state of No-Thinking and No-Emotion]

= Dispassionate.

(but not akin to senseless or thoughtless —– because in those cases,  senseless / thoughtless

mind is, in fact occupied by another sorts of mind = such as an anger, greed or

overwhelming fanaticism = ideology or madness)

=== the mind of childish, senseless, thoughtless Rioters were definitely, utterly

no way near to the Buddhist’s Mushin.

[ If it was done in Mushin,  it got to bring the GOOD outcome.  This is what the

Karma mean. And if it brought bad outcome — because,  it has done not in Mushin]

—– You may say this is out of rational logic and say ” Why”,  but this is what I found and true.

And this must be the reason why the Buddhism is existing.   🙂

MORAL DECAY ! ?

Being faced with the Riot situation, PM David Cameron hastily came back from his holiday —–

and today shouted “Moral decay of the Nation”.

With some cynicism, it may not too far to say, the fundamental mind-set of the Tory is  “ This is my country

and we are in charge with it” —– and the Labour’s is  “We are the victim of THEIR suppression. Hence we are

entitled to rob THEM”   😀

Therefore,  when Tory saw the disorder,  they feel their treasured possessions and the peaceful life were

threatened = Crisis of the Nation !  ( Labour says ” It’s their expression.  Blame only yourself.  Not us ”  😀  )

( In fact, with their mind-set,  Labour devoided the Britannia and its collective Ethos with a pretext of

Political correctness such as Multi-culturism, superficial ethnic equality, human right etc —- only resulted

with fragmentation of the society, and made this country easiest place for a [non-person] to live.)

There has been thousands of talking analysing the situation —– poverty, under-class, unemployment,

frustration of young people, lack of role-model = lack of father figure etc etc —– !

I noticed yet everybody is missing the point. —– may be as they are living in THIS society,

they don’t have eyes to see it from the distance / objectively.   (and a consideration and a precaution not to

go against the voters psyche,  they can’t speak out the truth.  And, all the words of politicians are

preloaded, to make life of opposition party hard —– not necessary good or bad to the Nations = politics)

( That’s why politician often says completely opposite when they are in the power or not)

So, what was the POINT  I found ?

The root of evil is the virtualization of the society.

—– I’m not just talking about the Computer Game — it is only an iconic symbol of phenomena.

You may say I’m too anachronistic though, think, the situation is only around single century or so.

Only less than hundred years ago many people were the farmers and did know, the food is not coming

from Tesco.   Not only the industrial system,  whole socio-economic system is now beyond the anybody’s

imagination.   No body understand how the financial system is working.

And to the many rioters who is receiving the benefit —– the money is just coming.  There is no

reality such as “HARD EARNED MONEY” —– they don’t know who is working hard  paying tax.

And almost all of us don’t know how a shiny gadget was made or who is making it.

Thanks to the Information revolution, you may find a company website and a photo of the factory

producing iPad in China though,  how anyone can have real feeling, toil of work there, from an

image of Computer screen. —- We can see zillions of information but no reality.

—– without any reality, nobody care, how the Shiny Gadget was happened to be there —– rioter would

easily think “WHY NOT in my hand”—– anyhow shop will claim the insurance = no damage.

As the socio-economic system became beyond the comprehension, in the same time law and order

the judicial system is in hay-wire.   Somebody can get huge pay-out from the compensation claim which claim

is not in line with social sentiment or common-sense, especially when it is related to a racial issue,

human right issue —– the feeling of  ” somebody else is cunningly exploiting the system = Why not me ?

I can dodge the system as well.   Even MPs are defrauding public money, and the Banks, Multinationals got

enough money for exuberant payout = pinching small amount wouldn’t harm them = any how their money is in

the tax-heaven.   They are not in our world.  And I AM not with them ”  ====> How they can feel

that they belong to the same society, same community and shar the same pain, and Moral ?

The ETHOS and MORALITY is not came from a preaching or written knowledge.

But its comes from practice. A process of Doing. Doing through own practice and seeing others’ doing.

That’s why thousands words of nice talking of politician evaporated when their fraud was exposed.

( Why more Labour Politician was caught ?  Because of their fundamental psyche to see themselves fighting

the establishment —” it was an enemy’s money = why not appropriate for myself  in this good opportunity” )

If those supposed to be a role model is corrupt, how they can expect other’s morality.

In old days, the life had to learn and the money had to earn —– with actual hard doing of work.

In the process, everybody learn the relation and effect of working with others and the outer community

= lesson of the cause and the effect.   And what would boomerang.   What is good or Bad.

Everything were directly connected —– there was no virtual world other than the dream.

And this is the reason why Buddhism employ the practice in their teachings.

Because, the practice and its nerve signals is connected to the one’s subconsciousness, hence it will

be burnt into the bottom of the mind.   It is invisible but bound the man’s life = Ethos.

But the abstract notion and the words in the higher legion of brain does fade away before long.

LOOTING in MUSHIN ???

Following my post [Wet Mid —] I’ve received amazing comments which said,

the young people live in the MOMENT and LOOTING is ZEN.

It seemed this man has read a book about the Zen Buddhism and picked up few buzz words, and as he is

pretty tenacious —– he might be believing what he is understanding is the Zen or believing he

had understood the Zen !

Fortunately, I haven’t read the same book therefore I can’t tell whether the book was crap or his reading was.

( ZEN for DUMB written by a dumb ?   for the dumb ?   😀 )

Often people mistook, just pick-up a buzz-word or two is [got it] even worse [understood].

Even more worse is, especially this kind of people tend to talk a lot    😀

( In my Uni’ there was a woman nicknamed “ Three fold BESHI “ who got a reputation of, when she read

one book, she talked about three times more amount —– a book inspired her and her creative interpretation

sky-rocketed —– only a trouble was her idea was utterly bull-sit   😀 )

Later, I gave another thought, —– in hypothesis, if the man was actually in the line of rioters, and

actually did looting —– then he realized, he has been completely absorbed in the situation, in the rapidly

changing chaotic situation, he just reacted moment to moment —– there couldn’t be a

time to give a thought, —– when he saw a gadget on a shelf = just grubbed and run.

—– then, he become aware ? ? ?    Where am I ?   Why this gadget is in my hand ? ? ?

Boila ! ! !   I got Zen, it was an act in Mushin.

When he was arrested and sent to a Court,  it could make a very interesting case. —– as far as I

know,  it will create an unprecedented test case in the regal history.

If a man accused for a theft,  but pleaded not guilty on the ground of diminished responsibility

since, he was acted in Mushin,  and in the fundamentals of Buddhist’s belief, there is no Self,

therefore an allegedly accused / the man himself was not really in the crime scene = since

the body which has been captured in a CCTV is effectively empty or illusion.

( Don’t laugh  😀 —– this is quite a feasible scenario !  )

This case would give a   nightmare  as big as public disorder itself to the Judiciary.

As it is concerns to the fundamental belief of the Buddhism,  it can not be denied or criticized, therefore

a civil-right organization such as Liberty ought to defend the case,  as they did to Sikh and Moslem, otherwise

they will be accused of their discrimination against the Buddhists.

As long as  he is not having any mental disorder,  to throw the case out in this ground wouldn’t succeed.

There wouldn’t be any difficulty to have Expert Evidences from  Zen Master,  Martial-art Master,  Sports man—–

as it compels them to testify that the teaching of Zen is not  mumbo-jumbo = Mushin is a real phenomenon.

And, Prosecutor has to prove that the [Self] of accused was existing and the proclaimed [Mushin] is not exists.

( But how to prove it ?  It is exactly the same problematic  issue like whether the God exists )

—– It is the direct confrontation over the Buddhism. ( You see how tricky this case is    😀 )

Then, Council may address “My Load,  if the prosecutor is right,  it is the fundamental denial of the

Buddhist’s belief,  but on the other hand if the court find that the Defendant is right,  it is the seal of approval that

the Dharma exists and in the case of Buddhists,  responsibility of the Self may not exists.

Hence, creating yet another loop-hole to escape  Justice.   This would bring the serious problem to the future of

the law and order and to whole Judiciary.   Therefore only the remedy would be, an out of court settlement to

sort the difference out “

—– so, an awkward case will be swept under the carpet without leaving any precedence   😀

RIOT ! RIOT !

In south London, just next area of affluent Dulwich Village, there is [notorious] Peckham.

—– anyhow, I’m going there to find some kind of cheap fancy products, as there are 4 of the pounds

shops competing.  With short hop down there, suddenly my journey was halted by a Police cordon.

What ?   A, Ha ~~~~  so this is the aftermath of the Riot !

I don’t have a taste of excitement to be an onlooker of violence or fire what so ever.

( In fact, in the 70^th, I’ve seen the battle between Up-rise student and the Riot police or the battle between

the student sects, and took picture of it, so, I know how bloody and agly it is)

So, here, I settle with a rather [peaceful] afternoon landscape.

A shop right on the photo was said to have ransacked and a lingerie shop in the centre of photo was burnt down.

—– ?   Why lingerie shop ?   (May be a connection of gang group or lack of it ?  Who knows )

In this country, the culprits and his (her) right has been perfectly protected, if not by the law, by the

so-called civil right organization who can invent any pretext to justify the acts —– in other words,

completely shielded from the consequences.  Which effectively make the culprit untouchable

and the authority and the police became transparent or make them mere chaser in a Game.

Even if it was convicted, few weeks community works ?

Anyhow, rioter wouldn’t know the full brunt of the victim’s pain.    If the person,  culprit

wouldn’t feel the consequence,  how the person knows the  meaning of Karma.

Situation has been made even worse by the false environment of the Computer Game kind.

Not because of its violent contents, but

by the Player’s subconscious has been conditioned to live in the Virtual world.

Or,  they got used to live in an imaginary = Virtual world.

Once the person lost the firm connection to the community or real society,  this real world became

no different to the space in the Game.   Find the target, avoid the enemies. [ACTION  REQUIRED]

RIOT GAME in the real set-up must be much more exciting than in a small screen.

—– Trouble is,  once they tasted the excitement,  this Game may become even more popular.

Urban Warfare in the London town may become most played young kid’s game soon.

One of the SMS in the Black Berry Massage said to be ” Pure havoc.  Free staff ” — how exiting !  (for them)

Unless the person was connected and feel the same pain,  to see somebody else’s havoc must be exciting.

This is a trouble of a disintegrated / fragmented society which no longer hold the same Ethos.

Very funny irony is,  as the Riot spread,  even Rioter and their close friends became to the victims,

then working together to clean up the aftermath,  sharing the pain —– even Rioters are discovering the

sense of the community which is similar to the situation, under the German Bomb, it’s created

close tie of the people.  ( This tie is not virtual)

My only hope is,  the Police doesn’t become THE ENEMY of the People,  nor different ethnic groups armed

themselves as the Vigilante Force.  ( —– England is in a tricky situation)

Wet Mind and Dry Judgement

This year’s freak weather is not kind to the nature.   Nor to the farmers who grow corn,

but in the same weather said have brought a bumper harvest to the strawberry growers.

The situation seems to be the same all over the world.   Hence, it said to have brought big profit to the

commodity speculators who [rightly] speculated to have corn shortage and its price up.

Whether it is right or wrong, it is always the case, somebody’s misery is some other’s god opportunity.

This is the hard fact, as the weather is.

Then bring an argument to those situation is either emotional or in moral issue

—– both based on the Wet Mind.

Because of the dry weather, the plants on this patch of the land here couldn’t succeed.

In fact this year they failed twice. —– once the weeds grown to a feet high, then the dry spell on April

wiped them out.   And after a short but pretty heavy wet weather, some plants shot up again —– then

they are all dead now. === is rather prosaic description of what happened here.

From this desiccated scene, may be I should create quite emotional, wet stories such as how I feel sad

while imagining a pleasure to see wild green, mentioning the glory of the sun and the joy which the nature

has been brought me over the years, and so on.

—– wet stories appeal to the readers, who is seeking sweet story

and a moment of consolation in the cyberspace.

Despite we are living in the environment of  90%  Hard, Dry Facts,  our mind seemed to have

90% of  Wet Thinking / Wet Mind —– because we don’t see the Dry Fact in Dry —– We are seasoning it

with wet, slimy source, mostly to sweeten it. —– On top of it, before cooking and seasoning them, we are

conveniently selecting them to meet our taste.    (Hence, sweet blog is more popular 🙂 )

Then, end of the day, we have to face Dry Fact and forced to give Dry Judgement — if the judgement

was not Dry enough, it will fail and Boomerang.

I know, Dry Food is hard to swallow, Dry Fact is hard to see though, anyhow  it  IS  Dry —– to

see the world as it is,  the first step to avoid to hit by a Boomerang = have a long-term peaceful life,  in stead of

temporary comfort —– which need to have some practice.   ( to begin with,

to know how sweet your taste,  and the favourite source is   😀 )

Sunni and Shiite Moslem seemed to be quite different, and from moderate to ultra-orthodox, the

Pok’s ZEN

Ten days ago I received an invitation to a private view of an art exhibition from a man whom I don’t know at all.

I was quite puzzled, how come ? ? ?    (since my Email address is not public)

Exhibition was a contemporary art in context of dairy practice in Zen Buddhist’s culture —- What ?

Before go down to the puzzle of Zen art, I guessed that somebody my friend who knows of my Zen blog

might have suggested him to send an Email to me.

Any how, it’s best to see a man and ask.

So, I took a journey to the exhibition and met a young artist, Chong-Boon Pok.

Obviously he is a Chinese but turned out to be from Malaysia and living in here about 10 years.

And he is a kind of [native] Zen Buddhist, who doesn’t need to know what the Zen is or its

history etc,  but as he was grown up in its environment he is naturally doing it.

(even unaware of why —– it’s in his subconscious)

—– As he was saying in his Press release;

“ My studio practice operates within subjects, time and space using the everyday and engages

aspects of mindfulness,self, memories, social, cultural and symbolic form. My cultural upbringing and

life experiences are often revisited, examined and evidenced in my work.

The work embraces ideas of as-it-is-ness, nothingness, the impermanent nature of things, and the

interconnectedness of objects and people, all of which are relevant to Zen Buddhist discourses of everyday.”

And what he is showing are — in his words;

“ Devoting attentiveness to and contemplating the everyday is central to my art practice.

The everyday that I refer to is the trivial, ordinary and inconsequential objects and activities that

people tend to take for granted such as the cutlery we use for eating, something we are so familiar

with that we are less likely to give a second thought when we encountered them. Besides

assembling everyday objects into sculptural forms and installations, part of my work involves

using food and cooking to perform and interact with people visiting my exhibition.”

Like a round piece in the photo above ( can be enlarged with click on the photo) it was made out of

drink-can’s pull-ring —– thousand of them. So as the other pieces, they are made out of really

ordinary objects —– but with the thousands of repeated works.

Some may think, it might have done by dreadful swet-shop like endless work or even it might have done by

the hired worker —– wrong.   It was all done by the artist himself.

And some may think, it is a kind of play devoting to the God —– wrong again.

Except the first few line of the work where the artist needed to find the best adjustment, following work

all through up to the finishing line, it was done almost automatic = just the repeating movement of the fingers.

There was nothing else in his mind = so-called Mindfulness, though, in fact, there was nothing.

Hence Mind of No-Mind = the true reflection of the Nothingness of the existence.

—– in deed, those repeating work is the Buddhist’s practice = by which the one can reach to

the state of Mushin (Mind of No-Mind ).

But we shouldn’t forget, that the Practice is just the practice to get the state of the mind, Mushin.

Mushin itself is not a goal. It is just a state of the mind.   What is the goal ? —– Life, that’s all.

But the Life without unnecessary worries or useless delusions hence without pitfall.

What else anyone needs to have ?

More than handful of gold ? Or surrounded by 100 of virgins ? —— ? ? ? What to do with those virgins ?

Do you want to be a rapist or dirty old man ? —– in fact, all those dirty idea negates the goodness or virtue of

the Mushine, since it against the Rules of the Dharma.

One’s life is to make other life happier.   This is what all about the meaning of the Life.

( Running big company employing thousands of staffs and selling the products all over the world

—– in effects, supporting those who working for him, and appreciated by the people who bought the products,

in the same time, making money and able to supports his own family —– this is the Life.

(well, billions of variations there)

So, unmistakably,  the artist,  Pok succeeded in this task —– by his work in Mushin, made

the people smile and made their eyes open “ A, Ha ~ ~ ~”  and making people feel Happy.

He should be rewarded by the Dharma.

TRUTH or is it in the BELIEFE

A while ago I was exchanging the opinion with my friend who started to wonder why the scientists

who supposedly dealing the subjects with fact based rationalism,  still making utterly

dubious explanation to such as the nuclear or environmental issues.

And he said, is there any relation or influence of the persons belief system to even a scientific

research and its conclusion.

—– Well, my answer was,

1)  The science what we ordinary folks generally know is.  only a corner of popular science and there

are many [another kind of] science —– such as creationist’s / Christian science or some pseuedo

sciences etc. etc. —– Even a Black Hole or 4^th Dimension are out of our comprehension still,

they are regarded to be the science.

2)  The science is not an absolute truth.    It is more like a technique of debate.

In one frame-work,  using the fact(s) as the evidence and construct the theory or hypothesis.

Then from the theory, make a model or an expected projection and apply to the other samples.

If its works on the other samples —– the theory is proved to be true.

The matters in the debate is to convince others. = If the others were convinced,  it became an

established or widely accepted theory.  Still, not necessary everybody,  hence it may split the science

community or society general. —– Some are following, others are not.

3)  Discovery of the facts and the technology which can affect  them are changing everyday.

New facts and the new approach and the techniques are keep appearing

and the re-examination of previous results or theories are taking place everyday —– hence,

the truth yesterday is not necessary so tomorrow.

Therefore,  some may convinced but to others,  it may seem to be utterly rubbish and fraud.

( Remember, until 250 years ago,  the lightning was understood to be an anger of the Good,  until

I definitely know, the sun is rising every day and goes round in the sky but never noticed

the ground / earth is rotating —– still, I accept the sun is in the centre,  not the earth

—– by the widely accepted science as I got no basis to contest it.  I have no choice but to join 😀

We know what is electricity —– to connect a light bulb to battery,  it would light up thanks to the

flow of electron —– though,  nobody ever seen what is the electron.

All the evidences are circumstantial,  in other words we are seeing only its effects.

Yet still,  we need and use its effect.   We don’t care what is taking place in a coil in the motor —–

as long as it’s rotates.   ( Some of you might remember the Rule of right hand to know the relation of

electric current, magnetic field and the direction of movement —– we can see the fingers, but

rest of the phenomena = we only believe )

Yet, as it explain well and the effects are always consistent,  we convinced it is the TRUTH)

We know thousands, even millions of phenomena in its appearances but need to believe the truth

or the theories behind.   Our imagination is filling the gap by what we call  [intelligence].

Unfortunately we human being is still not clever enough to handle vast amount of factors and

the parameters in such as environmental phenomenon though, clever enough to select convenient

facts to construct a model which conveniently conveys the opinion —– regardless

whether it was true or not. ( I’m not suggesting,  I’m odd with conservationists,  but saying how hard

to construct [a model] which is having millions of parameters of which we haven’t even discovered yet)

When we handle the matters in the nature or even about ourself we encounter the invisible of

which the whole truth hasn’t been fully discovered,  and there may be the unknowable.

In fact, we know only very little.   So that, even in a critical science we hide the gap of knowledges

behind of such as the statistical numbers —– hence the theory or prediction is only a guess.

If we have to deal with a matter which got too much unknowable, we either construct

metaphysics or myth —– or religion.   If you believe, it is the truth,  hence the belief system.

My friend’s argument was, even a scientist who is having a strong belief system (its might have

hidden deep in their subconscious, due to their up bringing)  may tend to creates a theory

more imaginative (or Dogmatic ) than the facts based objective science.

———- ?— Its might be true.

And they might be believing and aiming the more positive outcome of the theory which would

coherent with the idea of promised land and the harmony —– subconsciously construct the

theory to proof the God was correct and the world is perfect.  Therefore,  such as an

environmental model should have automatic feed-back and self-preservation.

( And they knew the theory of self-destruction is not popular to get a financial support )

 

In fact, the universe would continue to exists even without the notion of the God and its alleged

creation —– practically the system looks to continue  for ever 😀

( Since the geological time scale is too long for us to imagine )

We are standing the moment to establish the final General Theory which may proof

the multidimensional world —– we said to be co-existing next to 4^th dimension,

5^th dimension etc,  we might be living with the soul of people in the past. —– really ? ? ?

( I know something there —– but not necessary because of the String Theory —– even if

a fancy subatomic particle or antimatter was found and its trace was recorded in a digital

imaging screen,   how do I know the soul of my friend is there ? )

FORMURA in DHARMA

I have written about how Leonardo Davinch was obsessed with his Masonic belief a while ago.

And it is well known that the Masonic people has been trying to figure out the fundamental rule of

the universe in its proportion or mathematical formula, hence the architectural proportion of

the old temple etc.

Fibonacci number / its rule of consecutive numbers are one of the rules found in nature —–

since they thought, it should have the ultimate power of rule of universe. etc etc.   ( It is true, some plants

and its order of distribution of  leaves or seeds on the pod shows certain pattern, hence certain formula

which lead to the discovery of the very Fibonacci number ) —– so what ?

Unfortunately, there is no such magic formula to solve the trouble in the human life.

If the perfect proportion of the old temple have had any mythical protective power of the universe,

it couldn’t have been destroyed.

It is a tendency of the dream of lazy and yet greedy man —— to grub the power and the fortune

by tricking using the simple and easy formula —– and believing such things could ever exist.

Of cause, Buddha taught no such things could ever exists, and such idea is nothing

but a delusion. —– though, some Mahayana Mantras having many fancy super natural stories.

A man who read Diamond Mantra and wanted to gain such super natural power, asked me to teach

the secret of Zen. (since he believed I’ve got it —– how nice complement 😀 )

Give a thought or two to what Buddha taught —–

Fixed formula which got only few parameters only works to the fixed, limited condition.

Buddha said, nothing stays permanent and keep changing moment to moment = out of

reach of any fixed formula.

Such formula is a product of our poor thinkings —– how we can rely such idea when the author,

ourself is unreliable.   Even its existence is not certain.

Above all, what is the intention to get such secret formula for — to get the good result quick ?

To get power and the fortune in easy way ? = What a greed and the arrogance.

Such greed or arrogance negates any virtue of the Buddhism.

One Buddhists sect recruiting the people saying “Get happiness quick“— though, such idea to appeal

the people’s greed negates Buddhism itself.   ( You can see, despite they are taking a lots though they

are the most miserable people — only able to repeat what was written in the book, and thinking  Happy)

Strange Paradox of  Goodness in the  Buddhism only came  out of  absolute nothing. From No expectation.

Buddha didn’t give an answer to many questions — long time myself has been thinking, because

it was not necessary for us to know, — though I realized, it was the very answer Buddha intended to give.

The answer itself is a notion, whether it was said by Buddha or not.  When the notion itself and

the condition based upon it couldn’t exist in a fixed form, there couldn’t be

a fixed answer = no answer is the very answer.

—– Then all the another pieces of his teachings fallen into the jigsaw —– that’s why the clear eyes to

see the Dharma is essential = Dharma itself is not fixed entity, it changes a moment to moment,

hence the flow of response is essential. The free mind, not cringe to any fixed idea, away from any

deluded idea or belief is essential = Mind of No-Mind is the key to see the Dharma.

Its mean, the compliance to the situation is the matter. See the situation as it is.

And the response on this moment may not be the same to a response a moment ago.

Its mean, there is no fixed formula. Or no-formula is the ultimate formula.

No quick fix with anticipation exists.

Don’t worry with bad anticipation, until its happened, it hasn’t happened yet.

When it’s happened, then, take best action —– as long as you keep your eyes clear,

the situation you see is far better than misguided anticipation.

Flexible structure is much stronger even in an earthquake.

This is the Buddhism.   Buddhists never miss the moment.

SEXUAL Conotation

It is a funny paradox. I always amazed to find that the search term and its wording which end up

here having many sexual connotations.   Its mean I’ve been giving so much disappointment to

those who is expected to find somewhat erotic content here.   Sorry folks   😀

It was not in my intention or tactics to attract the readers but my careless choice of the subjects.

(For instance, when I used the term [xxxx Do] it supposed to mean such as Kendo, Judo, etc.

in general. As I was not familiar with X-rated film kind, I was not aware — to other’s eyes, it can

be construed as “about Do XXX act” Ha ha ha, very funny. 😀 —– my ignorance but too late)

In 1987, when I heard very first news of the new disease from San Francisco which is now known

to be the AIDS,  I noticed that the sexual relation is no longer safe.

And it was the same time when my court case which related to a woman’s exploitation of

immigration loop-hole was started.

(A woman deported from here, fraudulently registered the marriage in Japan using my name

without my knowledge.   The woman admitted that she did it by an instruction of employer, though

the High Court Judge made it valid and granted her quick divorce for her to escape deportation to

Japan where the Police was alerted.  Naturally,  the case was brought up to the Court of Appeal.

Because of the case was too obvious fraud, the President of the High Court came out to suppress the

matter saying “no need to go into the evidence”—– since the evidence in the transcript says

“Marriage is Void” —– He couldn’t go into the EVIDENCE ) —– ( From this evidence, how

High Court Judge Dobly made the marriage valid, reflect the situation in the English justice)

I just gave up any relation.  Woman is nothing but the trouble.

So that the file in my brain to deal with woman was deleted.

The woman became just a part of a landscape, hence its sexual connotation disappeared.

Existence of Genitals doesn’t mean sex —– its sexual connotation is all in the mind.

( of which I’ve been calling  [ OBSESSION ] —– which can be erased )

Anyhow, court case consume a lots of time and a money. Especially in my case, to proceed it myself

as Litigant in Person (without Lawyer, while studying English Law overnight) was hard.

I was simply fallen into the situation,  not able to spare the time or money to a woman.

It was totally out of question.

Of cause the knowledge was still there and able to see or hear what woman says, though it doesn’t

connect to my EMOTION  hence the so-called female sexuality or their sex appeal stop to

appeal to my mind —– they became the matter of  foreign land or different universe.

A funny side effect (?) was, as the receptacle to read sexual context in my mind has been deleted,  I lost

a capability to see the innuendo or meaning of suggestive approach or its signal. (So that, in many

cases, after long time, I suddenly became aware “I see,  she wanted to sleep with me” 😀 )

As a matter of fact, even myself was amazed to see the change of my own perception. And it

made me realize, this must be the condition of mind what the Zen Buddhism is talking about.

Then I gave a thought. Read the books I brought from Japan etc. etc. —– it was an epoch in my

quest to the Zen.   If the mind can be controlled in this way,  in reverse this must be the way to control

the mind in general. (If even a so-called imperative instinct could be negated and completely

disappeared, there can not be any difficulty to control the mind )

Since then somewhat strange 23 years past —– but, it seems it was seen by others even more strange.

Most of all, be in the Club every weekend, seemed to give an impossible puzzle to others.   😀

I was there to perfect my body movement (others call it dancing) nothing else. Though, even a

club owner, manager seemed not able to understand what is the purpose for.   As a matter of fact, I had

the indispensable opportunities to observe the Skinner Box of male-female behaviour ! ! !   😀

And seeing hundred of almost naked young girls shaking their ass every weekend for (just with the

Fridge Club in Brixton — almost 6 years) so many years, I’ve accumulated a collation of body shape, facial

expression and her dancing style and the character —– how to behave, and so on.

But never dance or even talk with them (and never drink alcohol) created funny myth —– such as,

I was the real owner or under-cover detective etc. —– The worst was mistaken as a gay (for their mind,

“if not interested in woman it must be a gay” then start sexual act straight on the spot, hugging from

behind or touch the body while wearing only kinky strings, etc. —– I respect their right to be a gay.

But I have exact the same right not to be sexually harassed by them —– do what you like but

don’t count me in) —– yet still, those facts enforced my view even stronger—-> not all the gay

person was born to be a gay, but became gay by their choice, its mean a drive came from

their thinking = mind-set can change even an inherent, imperative instinct.

To accumulate too much data makes a person insensitive. —– nothing would surprise nor excite.

And having so much data (about woman) made me too casual, or there is no romantic sanctuary left.

So that I might have lost the usual sense to handle the matter with kid gloves, hence I might be

giving an impression to have lots of sexual talk. (Certain extent, it is true 😀 —– when the subject

having no significance to place in the sanctuary, it became just one hilarious subject among the others)

Hence, I just have no boundary or prohibition.

And the reason why I created so many female nude figure was, simply it is easier. —– it is much

more cumbersome to make a dressed figure, using such as wire or metal panel. And if you put big

boobs it became female nude. In comparison, to show the male figure as male, needs to show more

complexed muscles etc. which is harder for the simple material. (Strangely, my Buddha stature has

no muscle, just the bones —– still nobody thought he is no other than Buddha    🙂 )
