Let it Go !

In somebody’s blog (apparently a follower of the Zen Buddhism)  I’ve stumbled an interesting  word

” Who stole my  Zafu ( small cushion for sitting)”

—– its mean, without Zafu he couldn’t meditate, hence he couldn’t get enlightenment = somebody is

obstructing him to get enlightened.  And saying, not let it go = not giving away the secret / keep it for

oneself is a greed and envy of others getting the truth.  It is the monopoly of the truth.

I couldn’t stop burst into laughing.  😀  😀   ( But he is a very honest man !)

The person is quoting some words of past Masters, so has read some books and saying ” not let it go—”

indicates he is not a beginner though —– ? ? ? —– I wonder isn’t he aware what he is saying, itself

contradict the logic ? —– If  “let it go”  is the matter,  why he is keep asking ?

Yes, Don’t bother any more “Just let it go” —– do it without Zafu.

Looks funny though, the most crucial question is “let it go — of  What ?   ” Is there anything to let  go ?

A novice and even a (at least the years past) seasoned Buddhist having this misconception —– but the

meaning of let it go is,  Let go such notion itself.

In fact, in order to keep their “authority”, the establishment (and the so-called teachers) are pretending

to hold the Ark though, there is nothing in it, other than the Myth —– in its best, otherwise a deception.

That is why, the past Great Masters who found it, all  described it as a Dog Shit.

Simply because the Truth, only the Truth is the Dharma.  And the Dharma is here already.

But to see the Dharma  (in fact to see anything)  need to see it with clear eyes, without having any

preconception,  deluded idea, Ego,  even the Self itself —— hence need to be in Mushin.

Strangely you might feel, it include the notion of the Buddhism too.

If you having a belief that you are a Buddhist, you are not enlightened Buddhist but the one

only pretending or showing off.

(Don’t ask me, “If it is the case, why my blog is here”.  Please read the earliest post.—– It was my Karma)

So, you may ask,  If it is the case,  What is the point to be a Buddhist ?

Well, the answer is only you can find it out.  It is not a  Sale Item nor fancy gadget.  There is no catalog.

It might come, might not come though, the one thing definitely certain is, as long as you expecting it,

it never come.  Because you hadn’t let such idea go.

———- In my case, it seems the Dharma is keep watching me and keep giving me the sign,

in a form of the number (where ever I go, or do what so-ever — rather annoying) (Ref; 8150 Story)

So far, having quite peaceful life without getting ill —– might be thanks to the Dharma —– or

might be just a sheer coincidence. Who knows.  But what do I need to ask more ?   Neither I care.

( I suppose, I did let any expectation go long time ago —– may be.  I don’t remember  😀 )

The beauty in the Buddhism is its carefree life.  I even don’t need to remember that I’m a Buddhist  🙂

( The secret behind is, the life style itself has been simplified and it is carried out without need to think about,

other than something new and creatively challenging.  So, Just do it. —– I’m perfectly contented ! )

So, be relaxed, don’t bother Zafu.  You can sit in anywhere —– isn’t this, an enlightened freedom ?

Cyber Space / BLOG-SPHERE

To see is its OK there,  I’ve Googled and clicked  [ kinetorori ] , —— in my amazement,

I found there are 200 items under this key-word. —— What ? — How come ?

There are only 2  kinetorori in the whole Syber Space.  One is my Youtube name.  And other is in a post

of this blog where I’ve talked about an image I had put into Youtube.

Out of two how  those 200 items  bore out ?   ( I haven’t clicked  those, I don’t know what they are  😀 )

Another funny finding was, the collection of the comments I had put to the other blog-site, such as

[ tokyo 1000 ]—— Yah, I remember certainly I did. —– After many months, and reading back those,

I found its rather fun  😀  ( It’s in the [ backtype.com ]—– in the first page of [ yoshizen blog ] at Google )

( Of cause, the original exchange of comments with reference photo has more fun at [ Tokyo 1000 ]. )

We are in a strange false environment or utterly artificial communication sphere.

I have virtually no idea who this  Tokyo 1000 is.  If I bumped him on the street or even in an exhibition space,

I don’t think I ever exchanged single word with him.  Nor, even if I saw a notice of his photo exhibition

in an art listings,  I don’t think I ever attempt to go there.  Simply, because I don’t know him.

Since when we are in our far ancestor’s time ( kind of animal then 🙂 ) we keep so-called Psychological

distance to each other, —– closer relations to alien.  Distance is proportional.

So far I picked up some clue about this man  Tokyo 1000, he lives in Tokyo, 24 years old University student,

a mountain trekker, ex(?)- graffiti artist,  etc. ( Of cause I can read a bit more between the lines and able

to guess something from his photos though ) —– Yet, two people who are having totally different life,

still able to share a topics and freely exchange opinions in equal ground —— How democratic !

—– What intrigued me about this  Tokyo 1000 was, a  man who didn’t have any knowledge about

photography,  just started to take picture and blogging. —— rather successfully  🙂

thanks to a pretty well designed small camera.

To be naive, often exposes the truth, true nature and the true self.  Because there was no prerequisite

thoughts or pretense which clouding the eyes.  ( But rest of time, the picture is utterly dreadful.  😀 )

All about photography is, —– how to see the subject. 90% of How is the reflection of the personality

of the photographer / author.  ( And rest of  10% is the limitation of both subject and the camera ).

——- Yet still, regardless who he is, I could make quite funny comments,  thanks to this Cyber Space.

( rather ilresponsively  😀 —— hence, it is fun to read )

After all,  both of us are anonymous,  neither photos or scripts having such as copyright issue, and able to

make fun of each other —— then somebody else also came into the game, and made fun of us using

our materials and created yet another space for AD.

Whats so ever,  if there wasn’t WordPress  ( and they ( accidentally ) created Blog-site of mine ) there was

no Yoshizen ever appeared in this world. —— and I might have remained silent ( So, the world could

have kept its peace. — Ha ha ha  😀  )

Only a drawback to do Blogging is,  it consume a bit of time,  especially for a non native English speaker,

typing by one finger while making funny mis-spelling —– is not easy business.  Though, one reader said

funny mis-spelling is a part of fun here.—– m m m ?   Thank you very much.  Quite an encouragement.

Life having quite unexpected twist and turn and above all, a fun hidden in its sleeve.

—– Incidentally,  Tokyo 1000 suddenly stopped to post new photo, and its happened when it got

158th post —– m m m ? ? ?  ( Please refer to 8150 Story ) —– was this a halt by the Dharma ?

( I hope, he is still alive and kicking, expecting to have fun-full festive season with his girl friend —–

Which DIRECTION ?

Time to time I was asked to give an advice to a friend or friend of friend etc, in all sorts ——

Some time, how to deal with family or woman to electronic circuit ——- 🙂

While talking with computer programmer, a man (say Mr.A ) told me the pressure he is feeling from

the family or relatives who expecting he should be a genius and become a millionaire.

After that meeting, while dealing with Emails I just got a thought, why not Mr.A develop an  App

for mass user of such as iPhone etc —— may make him quite rich as his concept to deal with programing

is rather novel.  Market system, whether its got bad name of capitalism or not, it is quite democratic,

if it is good for the people it sell.   Not Mr.A  not me having wishful thinking —— let the people to decide.

So, I send him short Email saying  ” How about, to develop App for iPhone kind”.

Soon after,  I received his reply in which he explained this and that, and mentioned  ” By the way I just

have  received an Email from Intel’s development director, asking whether am I interesting to take part of

their development project ” —— then I realized the time-record of his Email was —2010  8:15 — M m m ?

( I hope I’m not paranoia though, as it happened in the same time of me to suggest him, and it must be a

peculiar coincidence )  I took this as a sign and Email backed him mentioning this number

” Be honest, do what you want.  Dharma is watching you “)

As he knew about this number, read of my post / 8150 Story,  he replied  ” Oh, dear God,  SCARY !”

Exchanging the mail with Intel, he found he is not very keen with their business, and found his

direction —— not the money but to keep what he really want to do.

Which he said ” Keep my path is what Dharma directed”

Despite popular misconception, DIRECTION is not an external menu which we can choose by will.

It is what we ourselves having in us.  It is in fact synonym of the self.

Here, the source of all the misconception and confusion lies, to be true to yourself, reset your mind

to the default state, have a blank space in your mind is in fact Just to be yourself.

In most of the case, what we are thinking This is Me ——– is in fact The imaginary Self, the Role to

play or the tactical Pretence to chase a goal (such as power, fortune  or delusion to be a Macho Man).

This is why, the Buddhism says, There is no such thing like the SELF ——– so-called Self is not

there, yet Buddha taught Watch it by yourself.  Watch who you are. ——- If the self is not there,

Who is watching ? —— What Buddha meant was, not by such imaginary fixed figure of the Self

(as the Self is continuously changing with Karma, no still photograph exist —– You can’t capture an

image of running horse / still horse is a dead horse.(forget hi-speed camera which Buddha didn’t have   😀 )

but by the eyes, free from the conscious of self.——simply, just who you are.

Unlike awkwardly dressed masquerade, the person inside is the real self who can spontaneously

respond the Situation and the feeling (unconsciously) like natural Flow.  Buddha saw this ability

to respond the Karma is, it is because of the fundamental rule / Dharma.

Hence it is not the SELF but the Dharma. ——- of which everybody has inside and born with.

( As you are born with it, it is easy to be, though, strangely it is a hardest thing ——- so that, when it was

achieved it was described as a Dog Shit )

So, I’m watching what next move Mr.A will takes.

( may be titled as ) [秋]———————– Aki / Autumn

————-  Well, this poem was composed in my twenties when I was having evening class of

an   Advertising Copy-writer’s training.  ( Since, I didn’t expect Industrial Sociology BA may not enough

to go into  Advertising or Publishing industry)   I wanted to have a skill to compliment my photography

and  I was writing lots of poems.  ( Preceding to this,  I was a  fanatic of  Jean Arthur Rimbaud )

————– In one glance you may noticed there is no subjective word / Who is watching a dead wasp.

This is a deep and long tradition of the Japanese language —– not clarify the subject word.

This is a part of the Buddhist’s culture combined with Confucians ethos.

Name Me is arrogant.   Self shouldn’t be there.   And name You is disrespect —— it should be only

implied by the proper use of honorific expressions. —— hence, all the HAIKU is missing subject word.

More importantly, without seen by anybody, the pavement and the wasp is still there. We were not the

designer of the world or control it —- How, Self can be there.  Why we need to assert I am watching.

( Hence, lots of old Haiku is based on a  man’s vulnerability,  a powerless observer’s sentiment, Wabi )

Japanese has been using the same language all through the history ( well, classic style is a headache

even for me 😀 ) and having such thousands of years history with Buddhism culture in the bottom,

translate it must be a daunting task, much harder than a Japanese to read Chinese Buddhist’s Mantras.

(So, it is no wonder to find lots of misunderstanding of Japanese Buddhism and wrong translations there)

In comparison, when I read an English translation of  Heart Mantra, translated from

the Sanskrit, I was rather amazed ( and disappointed ) with its clarity as there wasn’t enigmatic

[ Mysticism ] left there.  🙂    There was no mysticism in the Buddha’s teachings.

It was our own creation with over jealous expectation. (save my 8150 story.   It’s not my creation.  😀 )

In the Paradox of Buddhism, mysticism  never appeared where expected.  Because the expectation

is a thought emanated from one’s ego —— which against the Mushin / No-Mind.

Here another poem which I wrote when I left Japan. ( No need to have a title )

( In hind sight, this was the moment I became a Bhikku )

美しい手紙を書こうと思った—–Utsukushii  tegami wo kakou to omotta / I wanted to write beautiful letter

私は詩を勉強した——————Watashi wa Shi wo benkyo shita / I studied Poetry

( This could be the shortest poem as it using only three most ubiquitous mundane words yet to describe

a man’s whole life.    As after 35 years I still couldn’t find any shorter, fewer word could do the same.

The space inside of  Zero could have whole life history and all the thought —– yet no need to talk

or discuss.  Just shut a mouth and a thought. ——– it is almost like the Zen,  isn’t it )

Super Natural POWER (?)

There is a popular misconception,  the religion has super natural power. Or super natural vision

can reveal the truth.  If such claim is in the market, of cause it is only a spin to sell dubious products.

Same as ” Use this special formulated cream, you will become Hollywood beauty at once”.

If such claim has any substance, all the population in the world should be the Holly Man now

and never had war or mass killing.  And the Amazon natives who said to have “Vision” by the

hallucinogenic  chemicals from the magic vine,  shouldn’t have marginalised.

I never hard any positive contribution from the Vision made by drugged brain or the people. (Have you ?)

Russian government had spent millions of  money to research those Para-normal power for

military, espionage purposes without single positive result.

Yet still, everybody knows something is still there and I too believe now. (with my 8150 story)

Though, the trouble is they are beyond the human control.  We can not resort it to the intentional purpose.

( I still couldn’t figured out how my parents could able to predict somebody’s fate, and what is behind of

Chinese I-Chin)

Yet still, the Power over there, what Buddhists calls Dharma is active and makes no mistake.

This is my understanding,  some may calls it my belief and religion.

So, What ?

What is BUDDHISM (2)

Belief system is a peculiar existence.   As the word, System imply,  it is a huge complexed  system of the

abstract  Idea.   Since,  it consists hundreds of thousands of lines of program,  it is hard to comprehend in

short summary or clear image.  So that when new comer or young person was interested in to know or

join, the person was attracted by the so-called beneficial effects or most likely the false image.

As a social phenomenon,  its out look or proclaimed form and reality is never the same.

Under the name of love / Christianity,  how many war and mass killings were happened,  and  25 years

long  Sri Lankan war against the cyanide capsule carrying Tamil Tiger fighter was fought by the supposedly

peace and calm loving Buddhists, not mention about the so-called  Muslim terrorists.

As a nature of ideological notion,  people who believe and practice its religion always say ” Oh, it wae

done by not real believer,  we never justify killing ” —— exactly same as ” Oh, it was not real Communism “.

Ideal  *****ism  is always somewhere beyond,  yet still the people who practicing it

always says ” I’m a true believer”  with formidable authority in his face.  😀

After 30 odd years  ? ? ?,  still I’m not sure how much I learned about Buddhism,

if  there are any at all. ———- Fundamentally,  is it Buddhism ?   Who said so ?

If there is the BUDDHISM in the World,  show me.  I want to see it.  ( I’m not talking about

a Mandala poster which you can buy in the Camden Market £5 or twisted leg sitting etc /  The Form )

Long time ago, a Master of Aiki-do,  Mike of Watford  said ” Oh, you got very strong Chi ” —— though,

I was just toppled by him after 10 minutes stalemate.   Yet,  I have no idea what the Chi is —– if it is there

at all,  it’s there as a part of me ( without my permission  😀  —– as I’m not practicing  Martial Art ,  if it

looks like Martial Art it is a misconception, it is just the way how I move )

Same as this,  it seems  I’m living in Mushin,  all the daily chores  were carried out almost automatic,

some time I feel a  De-ja-bu  ” Waite a second, haven’t I done this already ? ”  I’m not aware the Mushin.

So,  I have no idea,  is this practice of  Mushin is anything to do with a kind of good luck, such as I don’t get

ill (after 35 years live in this country,  I still don’t have registered doctor ) or if I need to go somewhere,

it is always blue sky ( may be I don’t go out if it is rain.  Ha ha ha  😀  —— ask Dorkbot or Space Hijackers

people about this phenomena ,  yet it might have been just a coincidence ).

So,  neither  I have any idea,  whether  Buddhism  is anything to do with those phenomena which

I described as 8150 story.   Is it a part of Buddhism ?   Or am I just a nut.

( Still I would say if it is a part of Buddhism,  it is not too bad to see the guidance is visibly posted )

———- As  I didn’t know such things could be there, as I never read nor no one told me before.

So,  I’m anxious to hear from the person  ( Master ? ) who knows all about Buddhism and

Enlightened say how the Dharma appears on front of us or it should be.

( Though,  I suspect,  there is no such things like an Enlightenment,  that’s why it is Dog Sit )

And this is why, what Buddha taught was so grate and power full ——- there is nothing to

think (nor teach) about,  just do and live.

99th POST / Seal of Approval ?

It is a bad habit of an ex-sociologist.  Just watching the ongoing phenomenon and analyzing, try to see

if any tendency or peculiarity persists in this blog here ?

Stumble to my blog, the people type search terms then it may link up to my blog, end up here.

( Wittingly or unwittingly.  😀 ) —— Lots of people were misled by the Googled  list  “xxxxxDo”  which

was intended to represent  Ken-dou, Aiki-dou, Sa-dou  kind of practice,  but seemed to be mistaken as

a hard-core porn site ——- must made them hugely disappointed.  😀

The most peculiar search term and a person end up here was ” Trespassing  Buddhism ”   How interesting !

This suggests, either the Google’s automatic key-word linking program defined me as a trespasser or

somewhere in the Net, there is someone’s description talking about this blog as a trespasser.

———- In certain extent it may be true.

After I left the gate of  Eihei-Ji Temple,  I never asked any monk to lead me through the path-way.

( Even though in many occasions,  I questioned them of their teachings Why ?  But I found no Master.)

So, I had taken practices to attain  Mushin myself  while observing how the brain works with it.

So that, I might have parachuted to the sanctuary of the Zen, without coming through the traditional

path-way or  front gate.  Thus any monk found me standing in the sanctuary wearing flashing LED

Disco Pants, must thought I’m an intruder. 😀   Though, it was just an arrogance of them who is thinking

they are ” The establishment, monopolizer of the Buddhism “.

But ( I use a metaphorical words I’ve used somewhere else before ) Room A’ is not a monopolized

sanctuary, it is the open space as the Mahayana Buddhism stands.  —— Any how  Room A’ has no wall

or roof, easy to come with parachute.    Ha ha ha  😀

From the state of Mushin, I started to walk the path-way back ward, like a  Reverse Engineering

to see how the system works and why the engineer has designed it in this way.

So, why  Buddha and  the past  Master had to teach in this way ? — Luckily the hard ware / the Human is still

the same Human as in the time of  Buddha, having same nerve system, brain structure and same physiology,

therefore the phenomenon  which  Buddha had observed, could be reproduced and analyzed  today.

And of cause, those observation in the 21st century have to be explained in the knowledge of 21st century,

otherwise it wouldn’t convince the people today. —— Buddhism is not just an ancient wisdom and

can not stay like an ancient wisdom. In deed, Buddhism is not an ancient mystery, but it is a

finely tuned technique to re-program the human subconsciousness and its perception.

As Buddha ordered to his disciples, we too have to think ourself, but as a man in the 21st century.

After I started this blog,  when the Broadband

malfunctioned,  the Dashboard failed to show

stats’ graph,  instead,  the space showed its

Flash Player’s  plug-in  URL ( Photo  left ).

Seeing  this URL,  I was shocked like hit by a lightning.

” Good Heavens, 8150 again.  Buddha is watching this blog.  There is no escape” ——-Since then,

I’m still alive, didn’t get cancer like others who betrayed me and  able to keep blogging in the same way,

and here, a significant mile-stone 99th post.—— its mean, it was not a  warning shot or a  halt.

( I wouldn’t go to ” It is a seal of Approval ” though —- it might be. Otherwise why Dharma  bothered  this ? )

Please read a post  ” Confidence to be Here “. This 21st Century  interpretation of  Zen is right.

Hence Dharma and Buddha is watching us. ( Me and you, who is reading this as well)

( Unfortunately, this 8150 is my last conundrum, this is the last mystery which I couldn’t find  21st Century

explanation —— it’s just following me / yet still, other than Dharma, who else could do this ——- ? ? ?

As a matter of fact, until I saw this 8150 sign appeared in my URL in Youtube and here, I was a bit skeptic

about the implication, as it could be just a coincidence though,  Youtube and this Blog URL are not random

occurence, but specifically belongs to me.  I was convinced that they are the intentionally targeted sign.

Around the Buddhism, there are hundreds of recorded mysterious stories, though there was no convincing

explanation ever given, and non in any mantra, even Buddha gave no answer —— still everybody

knows, it is exist ——- it is nothing but a  headache though, have to accept if its comes and this might

be the sign of my Karma and the duty which  was assigned to me to do,  and why I was born. )
