October Moon

This photo was taken by 110 Pentax 24 mm lens on Nikon Z7 and it was heavily cropped and enlarged. I don’t like the noise in the Nikon Z7.

It was this early morning —– very very early 4:00 morning, I found a moon. Strangely you might say, this was the first time I saw a moon in this phese = because, to see the moon in this phese, it has to be very early morning.

Yet still ? ? ? —– I wonder why ? Why I haven’t seen it before ?

Nov’ Moon

Nov' moon-000

It seems, in any society star-gazer was accepted, a bit funny but a kind of romantic still, no harm to the other people.  But, the moon watcher was categorized as a loony and not necessary welcomed by the people.  I don’t think I’m a moon watcher, neither be a loony, so far as it was self-declared.

I don’t necessary want to see the moon but time to time it comes to the window regardless.  In fact, the photo left took a while for me to realize, that it was a moon (2 days before the New moon. = on 17 Oct’ 2017) and the right photo was taken 1st Nov’. —– the reason why it’s having shadow was, the moon was behind the tree. —– In such condition, did I still need to take picture ?    Ain’t I obsessed ? —– I didn’t feel I got ANY obligation to do so though, I just did it again.  😀     It was very simple, the moon was there. (Strange things was, the camera, Sony A7R with 500 mm mirror lens was on a monopod. —– ISO 3200, 1/1000 sec F8)

(To tell you the truth, there was a serious danger of this post having yet more photo of the full moon which was briefly appeared next night —– though it disappeared behind the cloud soon.)  Sigh !   😀

Nov' Full moon-002

Your nightmare has come.   It’s a full moon taken on the 4th Nov’, but left photo was taken by Canon EF 70~200 mm at 200 mm, F2.8 on Sony A7R (F2.8, 1/1000 sec)  and the right photo was by Canon 5D MkIII (F8, 1/500 sec) Both hand held. —– They showed the situation quite well, using the same lens even fully open F2.8, mirrorless A7R can make sharper image.

—– The story behind was, when I heard bang bang noise, I realized that it was the Firework night.  As I saw a big one on the window, I took the camera out with 200 mm Zoom on though, that big one seemed to be the last one. = How shame !  Then, I found the Full moon !  Without bothering to get 500 mm out, I took the moon with 200 mm lens — and I’ve tested the same lens on A7R too.  Very very funny.

Oct’ Moon by SONY

Oct Moon-DSC07237

Oct' Moon-DSC07247

(Last night, I shot on AWB — to be fair to the camera, I did retake with manual WB.  😀 ) —– Naturally the Moon is one-night size smaller. (Same camera and the lens though, the second one looks sharper = thanks to Focus-peaking = better focused, but showed more noise)

Well, million years, it’s the same moon and it should look the same to the other one “August Moon” because all the conditions were the same except the camera was not Canon 5D Mk-III but SONY A7R.   The picture was taken through the double glazed window therefore it was not as sharp as “Red Moon”.   Something peculiar was that the supposedly the same Tamron 500 mm lens’ image looks sharper when it was taken on the SONY camera.  —– Unlike 5D as the SONY is mirror-less, it must be no mirror shock and the image processing engine in the SONY might be working harder to tinker the image ! = May be it’s the good things to a camera user. (I mean a lazy user who even not bothered to open the glass window.   😀  )

July Moon

I don’t think I got any obligation to follow the moon — still, as I saw it, and I took pictures.  ( but very brief moment.)  I think may be I saw it less than a minuets or two.

And when I mounted my 500mm lens onto the camera, soon she disappeared behind the clouds and never come out again.) —– ?  so, what’s the problem ?

Nothing.    (I just missed the photo. —– What’s the problem ?   Nothing )

13th Moon

13th-moon-dsc05020

Well, the full moon will be on the 12th though, it may not be clear sky then = better move when we can.   Last month when I saw the Super Moon I was on the Thames River Boat.  From then already 4 weeks has passed.  😦   — When we have 12 full moons, its mean one year has gone ! = frightening isn’t it.

(The photo here was by the Tamron 500mm lens again.  But unlike before, I did it without open the W-grazed window.  So, the picture quality was worse than the photo over a low quality dusty filter —– still, it’s a Moon. — we mankind has been watching the same moon millions of years while guessing there must be a club or rabbit living there.  Then only those hundreds years, we started to concern the real image of the same moon !    😀    Our understanding of the TRUTH is always changing. — Still, we ARE believing it IS the only truth.  And try to impose its idea to the others.)   Are you sure ? ? ?   😀

MOON and FINGER

Posted in Awareness, Buddhism, Direct Transmission, Enlightenment, Order of Universe, Zen in Action by yoshizen on February 21, 2010

Used as a metaphor in the Buddhism, the story of a Finger pointing the Moon is too well-known.

This metaphor is about the explanation of—— Not the mean / Finger,  but

the subject / Moon —– Satori (Enlightenment)or  The Dharma (Rules of the Universe)

Even though the Zen Sect has the most critical,  precise analysis of the Buddhism,  still when its came to the

point to elucidate the core of the teachings / Satori,  Zen says  “Furyu-monji” (Not explainable in the words) or

“Kyogai-bechiden” (Not possible to teach)——- hence only the possibility is by mean of Direct Transmission.

———- Yet still,  funnily enough,  when the one did managed to find it out,  it is just ubiquitous,

natural things, hence  it was described such as a  Dog sit.  (Very very Funny  !!! )

——————

I’m not a master,  even not a monk, so I can’t tell you what it is.     As I only got a distant view of it by walking

around,  round round round and as I saw it is there like as the air.

Still, I can show what is the Buddhism not by the words but in the way how to live it,  and how to do it.

(Which is Tried and Tested 🙂 )

After all, this is what the Buddhism is.  And this is why  “It is there as it is not there” and beyond of

thinking or words.

( If it can be explained in words, somebody great Master in the past 2500 years could have done already.

And the teachings of  Zen and Direct Transmission needn’t to be invented )

How to live is the way of the Direct Transmission.

So that you may live the same way,  walk round same place,  then you may find the same ( Dog sit  ?!!—–

—– How Nice  😀  )    So,  I can say  Just Do It.
