Requiem

Those screen shots of the Youtube viz was made with Canon 5D-MkIII, EF 40mm F 2.8 set manually to F5.6, 1/8 ~ 1/30 Sec’ = ISO was selected to enable this exposure.

Under the restriction we stay at home —– to spend more time with internet. = So, I encountered one of the most distinguishable, Morzart’s Requiem which was packed with the strongest anger ( = no sobbing, or asking mercy but an explosion of the anger — may be toward the God) But, mind you this recording was made 2014 —– I think the Venezuela was not in the hell (yet). And this is not my sarcasm toward the COVID-19 trouble we are having. (Timing was purely the coincidence) — but, my coincidence was always having had the message = the God may be angry.)

The musisians of this orchestra and the choir must be the ethnically the most diversified members — that’s what I noticed.

In my view, the Requiem is only a music Mozart created for himself with his true sentiment. (Others were just a commercial products to buy a favour of the society)

(Morzart said to be a member of the Free Masons though, when he died even before completion of this Requiem, nobody helped his funeral and he was buried to a common grave. — was this what he deserve ?)

—– yet still, there seems to be the reason why. Unlike what you believe, the real life of Mozart was nothing like a decent kind, but a hopelessly disorderly man = loose on the money and drunk which pushed all of his friend to forsake him = so, when he faced the death, he must be aware what to expect = the reality of the own fate = the reflection of own making. He must have had enough anger toward himself, much much more than toward the God who he never seen.

Owara Kaze-no-Bon / 風の盆

or, yet another Bon-Odori = annual dancing fest’ in Toyama-city, Ishikawa

Yatsuo in Toyama city situated 100 km north east of Kyoto.

Kaze no Bon is a Japanese festival held every year from September 1 to 3 in Yatsuo, Toyama, Japan. Kaze-no-Bon literally translates to “Bon Dance of the Wind.” This festival, having a history of about 300 years, is recently becoming a popular tourist attraction to the otherwise sparsely populated mountain area. Wikipedia

Unlike well known Awa-odori which originated from far remoted Tosa in Shikoku island, Toyama’s Kaze-no-Bon dance is more elegant. (Though, I myself is more familier with Samba)

Funki’s dream or nightmare ?

Whether I’ve seen this, heard this sometime, somewhere or was that in a dream, illusion, nightmare —– ? ? ? I’m not sure at all ——

It’s from the collection of my friend Funki Porchini —– I didn’t know he created this 2011 such long time ago.

And I don’t know how he created this image ? ? ? Whether he used any optics or was it done by purely digital ? ? ?

Dorkbot London 95

Dorkbot is a strange social gathering — they says the gathering of the people doing strange things in electronics.       Superficially it is the Geeks gathering yet in reality, some people are overlapping with computer hacker, anarchist, social activists etc etc. sometime a kind beyond the ordinary brain.  Its mean, for certain situation, they are quite resorceful and effective people.

Both a question and a proposition. Both are projects which would welcome wider collaboration and the ingenuity that Dorkbot may bring.

They are the regulars, friends. —– (Those photos were taken by the 100year oled Kodak Vest pocket camera lens on Nikon Z7 = sorry about the focus,  it was to scueez its pantograph )

I’ve been with them —– gosh, over 15 years ! ?

Expression

Following the previous post, this is the even more enigmatic piece.   In fact, I just lost a word and got my jaw dropped.       I’m not sure, whether I can call it a dance —– or just an expression happen to be on the body ?

(The viz looks quite dark and mysterious, even nightmarish. —– and that’s I like) The Art in this level would negate all the question such as where it came from or even who made this.  Though, the harsh reality is, we may not able to see the same, after some years or decade as the body of the performer will be lost.   Without the body, its controlled movement and its moment, this art couldn’t exist. —– should we feel sad ?  —– the even harsher reality is, the memory, and its container = brain will be also rotten in the same time.    Who said art is long ? —– (Youtube viz may last longer —– yet it’s horrifying to image, after all the living things extinct, still those video data will remain as the electronic form like a fossil stone.

Those two above were more like commercial dancing still showing some relation to the first piece.      (They are quite beautiful.)

What ? ? ?

Among the viz from the net, this is the one, made me puzzled the most. —– sound somewhat eastern Europe / gipsy ?  (the Brass sound even Mexican.    😀 )  —– Was this originated from southern India ? = it’s mean brought by the gipsy. —– then after many clicks, I discovered that, WITH MY AMAZEMENT, the music was  Polish folk-song.   Still, I don’t know where the style of the dancing came from, how the costume was designed etc.etc.  ? ? ?

(This one got only the same sound —– just give a hint of what they were !)

In the world, there are so many what we are completely out of imagination.

Dance Dance Dance !

May be because I’ve clicked the Spanish Flamenco or Japanese Awa-odori dance kind before, time to time, Youtube send me the dance viz —– so, I’ve encountered those amazing dance viz.

In this viz above, the first group was Doushisha-Kouri Hi’ and the second group was Osaka Tomioka-Hi’ —— Yes, they are all Hi-school girls.  First group was performing the dance,  titled “Black Rose” in black costume.  Then the second group was dancing in the 80s Disco style.  Those two were the top of the many hundreds of the entries of Japanese Hi-school Dance Club Annual Competition.  Lots of the club members may never dance before = It’s mean, to train the members in Three years to this level must be nothing but a phenomenon. — (A story behind told, that they practiced up to Nine hours a day ! —– Some comments to the viz described “like a Ninja” = Yes, Ninja was created in the same way = They were all under the same Japanese Zen Culture !)

Despite Tomioka got only second in last (2017)  year’s National Competition, once their viz, “Babbly Dance” was uploaded on to Youtube, it spread through SNS, they received 30 million hit and created a hype in Japan. ( So, they were invited to dance at “New year’s Eve National Song Fest/ 紅白歌合戦 on NHK” = for the hi-school girls to appear such National fest was the exceptional honour)

I admire the intensity and the speed of their body movement, though I wouldn’t dance in that way.   They dance very physical though, their movement was a staged, visually choreographed style for show = not follow a natural body dynamics.   It’s mean, if they were pushed while dancing, they will be easily toppled.  I took the basic body movement from the ski = if we lose the balance on ski, we will fly in the air and land 10 Ms away.    So, I’ll keep the center of the movement always in the symmetry to the center of gravity (so that I can hit or give a kick in any moment without losing the body balance as the body itself having the counter balance.)

One girl was saying, “Don’t think. Just keep doing until the body start to move automatically” = this words were the same as what I’ve been writing here, “Don’t think = Mushin” is the key in the Zen practice.  When their body start to move automatically, the ill-balanced artificially choreographed movement would be smoothed out.  I think, while doing such intense training, those girls would gain much more important “Natural dynamism of the body” which will be the key for their happy, healthy life for whole life.  Well done girls.

6 years of Zero

I know this DJ, Bradley Zero nearly 10 years.  On the beginning, he was DJ-ing in a local caffè where I was very frequent. (I was using their Wifi) —– funny story was that when I was frequent, they became very busy but, when I stop to go, soon they lost Licence.    (It’s mean, the DJ lost a job too.)  (Mind you, it was a sheer coincidence = I didn’t give any hidden political maneuver nor Voodoo curse kind. —– still this kind has been often happening to the place where I go.)  Then a while later I bumped the guy carrying his DJ gear to a local club and told me that he is going to play there.  So, I went to that club and became a kind of regular.  And so on so on many years past, then he formed a company called “Rhythm Section” and he became international too and so on. (What makes this guy remarkable was, that he was very modest still having a firm confidence to stick to his way, literally single-minded and building up his collection of vinyl and the reputation) —–  This week, he sent me an Email saying that they are going to have 6 years Birthday session. 6Years-Zero-000Zero put me on the guest list.  I went there with my Disco-costume = Rotating LED Vest.  (They got many DJs and play a kind of Dub, some are nice and good to dance.)   Anyway, I enjoyed being there and danced reasonably well.  (Though, it’s rather annoying,  these days people videoing other’s dancing with their phone = still, it might be a sign, that my dancing was not slow down or dead yet.   😀

Sound of the Earth

BBC R3-A09A7501
In the past year or so, the BBC Radio-3 is sounding the birds song in the morning.  Birds song from the countryside and from all over the world.

Being ex-climber myself, those kinds of sounds are rather familiar.  Not mention in the mountain, when I was traveling on the Eurail-Pass, I often used long distance overnight train.  Train will reach the destination early morning (5:00 ~6:00 kind), before the town get up.  I waited the shops to open, sitting in a park where the air was filled with the birds song. (in fact, mostly the Black Bird)

So, that was my start of the day.  (What’s my day then was = first, buy a bread and the fruits drink etc, then go to the tourist’s information to get the map of the town — and start the tour of the town visiting / listen the church pipe organ, and so on.  Often go up the back hill of the town to have an over all view of the place. ( = We can have a great view from the hills of the Rhine River.)

—– Anyway, and what so ever the life you have.  Just enjoy those sounds.  (Listen the Radio is straight forward but if you are in the office etc, the other choice is on the Net — “sound of the earth, BBC, radio-3” though, you may asked to register / DL the Flash player etc a bit cumbersome.)

Have a good morning listen.

Amaya !

Music-A09A7495

In the 80s, before CD, the source of our music was an analog casset tape and a Walkman, if not a FM radio.  (Still, there was a possibility to resort with vinyl disc, open tape, AM radio, even live music etc)  So, I was collecting some tapes, or even making live recordings.

Other than the photography, a Raison d’etre of me in the west was to feel the music in its original acoustic environments —– in fact, I made no secret why I took a boat from Yokohama to Siberia and to the west was to listen the Organ music and the Spanish Flamenco, both of them needs to listen in the natural, original location. (We may listen and see the performance of the touring artists’ but it is not how those music existing in its culture.)   So, if you listen the Flamenco music and see the dance in a Tablao (a wine bar with flamenco performance) you must hear that the audiences (participants ?) not only clap the hand but often shout (give a call) = calls “Ole”, “Asa” or “Amaya”(sounds amaja = in spanish, Y pronounce as J — J became H ) = I asked what is the difference of those calles , Ole, Asa, Amaja —– people said all same.    Still, Ole seems to be highest praise = “Great, Go on Go on” and Asa seems “Good, carry on” but Amaja was a ? ? ?

Some days ago, when I checked Youtube viz, I found an old viz of Carmen Amaya among the mountain of flamenco.

Some of viz saying “Legendary Amaya” = It seemed She was the great dancer and a singer, as Wiki tells the impressive story. —– with a flash of inspiration, I realised that call of Amaja was, in fact the name of Carmen Amaya.   It was somewhat the same to give a call to the beauty queen “Cleopatra” = To call a dancer Amaya mean, “You are as good as legendary Amaya” or “You are a Reincarnation of Amaya” = the best praise.  The name Amaya has become to be the Honorary Title for the bast dancer. (Of course, people calls it for a compliment — Don’t be too serious.  It was not a selection of National Academy. —– In the other hand, now I became aware that there is a sensitive issue here = since Carmen Amaya was a Romani / hitana / gipsy, therefore very tricky minefield is here, such as to give a call Amaja to a non Romani dancer could be an insult = has to be careful = better just call Ole or Asa. )

(This was what I thought, but if you know the otherwise or have a different view please give a comment here.)
